I'm sure it's some variant of "earn it" status.. eg, you have to be married in the church in the special undies, your husband must be an elder, and you must have completed your 2 year "mandatory" mission (it's not mandatory, but it is if you want to have any respect in the church).

It's somewhat hard to say. I was seriously depressed and decided to go on a trip. All that time alone gave me time to think about most things WTS-related. At this point, I wasn't even looking @ 'apostate' websites or anything of that 'sort,' so it my was own brain working at this point. I went to the summer convention, and after that, completely disappeared from the congregation. I didn't see anyone or talk to anyone in the congregation for 3 entire months. No one called or visited. One day, when praying in tears, I realized that there was no one on the other 'end' of the call, so to speak. That was the start of reading lots of information about religion and God in general etc..

Hi, new to this forum. Figured I'd let everyone know about my story before I got involved.
by JonathanH inif you just want the juicy details where i leave, i'll make disclaimer where it begins, if you just want to know what happened with the elders and organization after i realized it wasn't true, i'll mark that seperately.
we didn't do jack shit in service, or in the congregation.
maybe this was how jehovah came about?

Is there Attorney-client privilege for communications sent directly to Bethel legal?
by sinis inif a person retained a lawyer to draft up a document indicating that they no longer want to be an enrolled member (jw's) and therefore annul their baptsim, and send it certified mail directly to an individual named lawyer sitting at bethel, would they not be protected under attorney-client privilege and therefore non disclosure of the information with a third party?
i would think if this was the case and the information was forwarded to the boe, could not the bethel attorney be sanctioned or disbarred?.
