  The Jehovahs Witness family weekend

  having been out of the organisation for over 4 years and having finally released my kids from the hellish existance that is life as a jw, it struck me today how enjoyable our weekends are in comparison to when we were jw's.. the weekends are vital for us just now.

  my wife doesn't work but i work full time from very early in the morning.

  i don't get to see my beutiful children in the morning during the week.

  I've already stated that when I came here I simply wanted to engage in open debate and challenge different issues, not delve into personal issues. People here seem to want to personalize things so I said some things about myself. And no, I could care less about “getting attention.” I don't need anymore than I currently have. None of your inflammatory hate speech means anything to me. I only get that kind of stuff >here< where it is said that it's “criminal” if I were to raise my daughter as a Witness.

  approximately five weeks ago, i visited the local library and searched every book i could find that discusses the destruction of jerusalem in ancient times.

  the results were conclusive: all secular sources agree that jerusalem was destroyed in 587/586 bce.

  Have any of you talked to Joel Osteen about pushing the prosperity gospel and profiteer preaching if the "WTS leaders" have some sort of erroneous agenda?

  "And there are even more who don't. After leaving the bOrg the thought never crossed my mind to smoke weed or shoot up crack or take a hit of meth. I'm not that kind of person and I had more constructive things to do like going to design school.

  Different people are exposed to different environments. I never used methamphetamine or cocaine. There was some experimentation on my part but no serious problems developed. I took a four year course in computer science and graduated with an excellent grade point average.

  Slanderous talk is cheap OUTLAW. Identify some names and faces of any people currently in the organization that are drunks or druggies. Are you good for anything other than exposing the rotten core of some of the posters here?

  Sorry chick, but if you did drugs in the world, you most likely would have did drugs in the Org.

  See I'm the opposite of that. I was a teenager world and seen all kinds of bad things happen, although never to me or anyone I loved. I came back into the Org as a young adult got married and raised perfect little JW kids and made sure they lived the Org way knowing this would protect them from any harm..right?

  Wrong! My daughter was molested by that wonderful loving family man in the congregation. I bet they wouldn't use that in a DC drama!

  It's not likely I would have used any drugs had I stayed in the organization. For one thing I never used drugs at school. Kids using drugs was something that generally took place at parties and nightclubs.

  My parents didn't allow me to go to these that's one reason why I moved. It's a bad mistake on the part of parents who are Jehovah's Witnesses to not allow their children to associate with non-Witnesses if they are persistent about it. My uncle is an elder and when his son was persistent about hanging out with who he wanted to hang out with his father let him do his own thing.
