  Char, I love you dearly, and can see that you accept this 'way' in your worship of our Heavenly Father. You, I think, can see that I don't/can't, so all is good. We both know where we're going and who we love and worship.

  Lol Shelby, it's true we all come from different perspectives don't we? What doesn't work for me may well work for someone else. My experiences with churches including my ex's affliliation with the Catholic church, hasn't been much better than my experiences with the WTBS, so I am consequently averse to any of them. If we have a love for almighty God though, I am sure we will all find our way to worship Him.

  Sorry Char, the priest's role is that of a mediator, teacher, shepherd etc. For me that role belongs to Christ, and I can't accept any religion's claim that they can confer or bestow this leadership etc upon any man. Only almighty God Jah appoints and confers the blessing of the Holy Spirit, and he does it through the ONE mediator between Him and mankind, Christ. "Call no one 'Your Father' on earth...." The Catholic Church claims that their priests are of the "kingdom of priests and kings" that Christ promised for the future, it's a false claim.

  I think we must agree to disagree, in peace.

  But Char, similarly in the Catholic confessional that is exactly what the priests do. The whole hierarchical nature of the church is based on the fact that people go to priests for blessings and forgiveness, instead of going directly to our Heavenly Father.

  I'm aware of the Church teachings, but I'm sorry, like I said, since Christ is my mediator, I don't need another to intercede for me. The power of Jah and Christ is enough for me, and I can't put stock or faith in any traditional ritual written in any church doctrine.

  I'm not judging anyone, though, live and let live, whatever works for you.

  I suppose I'd have to agree that "where 2 or 3 are gathered together in my name, there will I be also.." Counts for all who worship in faith Jgnat. I'm not taking issue with anyone about that. Having spent many years in the Protestant church and heard all that reciting and repeating of Church written catechisms etc I have become somewhat disillusioned by man made religions.

  For me any man, priest, vicar, bishop, that claims to intercede for Christ is the exact same thing as what the GB profess to do. Christ is the mediator for me, he gave his life to become so, I don't need another. But I will concede, each to his own, it's up to the individual.

  hi there, as was suggested to me, i'm starting this thread to say hi to everyone.. my awakening began recently, after the new light on the 'slave'.

  i felt it didn't add up and went to check and found out ttatt.

  for a while i tried to find evidence of whether the wt might still be god's organization, i needn't say i couldn't.. i had already resigned as a ministerial servant and a pioneer, had already had several issues with the elders and did not put up with their nonsense for a long.

  I wasn't suggesting that Topical Bible was an encyclopaedia, just that many other bibles translate the word in that scripture as 'anointing', it's a familiar term that I heard even before the WT. I agree that the way the WTBS have divided people into separate classes based on their term 'anointed' is unique to them and inaccurate, but it doesn't negate this action of the Holy Spirit.

  Confirmation in the Cof E that I received granted me freedom to 'take communion' but it had nothing to do with the actual Holy Spirit performing any action upon me in reality, the clergy just used the words. Of course many churches refer to the 'anointing' as being 'born again' too.
