Here it talks about the: "Second stage of public hearing into Catholic Church authorities in Ballarat":
Will we see a follow up of more live hearings in the future for the JWs too, maybe GB members testifying etc?

back again since about 10yrs ago.
last year attended the international convention in new orleans and was feeling some type of way afterwards.
went to a couple of meetings and then the thrill was gone.
Maybe nostalgia? You have nice old memories and you want to relive "that" again. Usually the feeling is short lived, because it is not how we remembered it anymore. We remember all the good parts and miss them. It is the same thing with childhood memories. Nostalgia is one of the big things that bring people back to play World of Warcraft with each expansion, but the feeling is often short lived.
I don't personally play but it is a example of fascinating psychology.
the commission has the names of 1,006 alleged abusers within australian congregations since 1950. some will have died and others will already have been prosecuted but the branch did not report any of these allegations to police.. the terms of reference for the royal commission is more about redress for the victims but that can include criminal prosecution although they are more focused on financial compensation.. however, now that they have the names of 1,006 potential criminals there is some responsibility to see that they are dealt with criminally.
it appears to be in their authority to have cases followed through by referring them for further investigation.
this is clear because the commissioner has recently reported that to date, they have done so in 493 cases identified within the scope of their commission.
If only 100 of those victims were to sue (and settle) then it could bankrupt the Watchtower regime in Australia.
The RC will be looking into a compensation model for the victims within each organisation. The number 60 000 was mentioned, if each pedophile of the 1000 just molested one person each, that will be 60 millions to pay the victims... The watchtower in Australia has a 20 million income each year, they would be pretty bankrupts, yes
If we say an average of 3 victims each, they would have around 180 millions to pay in compensation... And I don't know if the 60 000 is a one time, yearly or other type of payment.
since the responds was very positive and because of the "cliffhanger" from day 2, i decided to record day 3 as well.. part 1 has been uploaded and part 2,3 and 4 will soon be available.. part 1: .

(it will take a little while before 1080p becomes available as youtube processes the video.).
In part 2 there is a few minutes missing. You can watch that in this video starting at 29:50.

There was actually a pretty good point being made that my recording missed.

Great!
Yeah, that would be me

at times, the branch office may determine that a man qualifies for congregation privileges, as he is not considered to be a known child molester.
Crazy indeed, until you remember this is an organization all based on appearances.
Sure but this is worse, even if the elders and the families involved knows, they can still appoint him. If the same was true in regards to another matter I am not sure they would make any exception...
1.is this rc only about the wbts?.
2. why did the gb/fds asked for all the money to be sent to hq?
ok so they could sent all that money off shore..
1: No
2: RC want orgs to pay the victims, and the amount of money they have will determine how much and even if they have to pay.

At times, the branch office may determine that a man qualifies for congregation privileges, as he is not considered to be a “known” child molester. He may then move to another congregation. In such cases, the elders would not normally mention anything about his past conduct in the letter of introduction unless the branch office has determined that there is reason to do so.
What does "known" mean?
Question 4: The January 1, 1997, Watchtower article on page 29 states that “a man known to have been a child molester” does not qualify for congregation privileges. What is meant by “known”? 12.
Answer: “A man known to have been a child molester” has reference to the perception of the community and the Christian congregation. It may be one who has sexually abused a minor and who is still viewed negatively by the victim’s family, the congregation, or the elders, or it may be one who is viewed by the community or secular authorities as someone who is a sexual abuser of minors, whether the abuse has been established by the congregation or not. Such a man is not “free from accusation” or “irreprehensible.” Neither does he have “a fine testimony from people on the outside.” (1 Tim. 3:1-7, 10; 5:22; Titus 1:7) In view of his notorious past, people in the community would not respect him, and the brothers may even stumble if he were appointed.
So if it is not common knowledge in the congregation or known to the authorities, it is okay to appoint? Even if abuse have been established by the congregation? (Which require 2 witnesses or a confession)
No, they are not hiding pedophiles at all...
If you molested a child is not important, what is important is if anyone knows about it!?!?
Absolutely crazy!!

go to the rc site and send them an email. The transcripts are up for anyone to down load.
I know, my question is if anyone is taking steps to save all of the information. Saving it on JWleaks, JWfacts or such.

But how long will it be available? Will anyone take steps to preserve it all? Or will it stay up indefinitely?
