8/8 works worldwide - someone (not me) already mentioned that.
11/25 is meaningless outside America as most of the world uses date before month. Only Belize, Federated States of Micronesia, and United States put the month first.
any takers?
we can pick a date and pull the plug?

EdenOne: What I think is vital is that ONE LETTER = ONE REAL PERSON. No letters in the name of others, and no making of letters of fake people just to inflate numbers.
Absolutely agree!
I think this is critical otherwise it will just be dismissed as some apostates causing trouble.
I think we are trying to achieve the same outcome and only differ slightly in our suggested approach. I'm saying just to include some local reference so they know it's been sent locally. e.g. reference to a particular brother giving a talk perhaps, just something small and incidental so the elders reading it know it's come from within the congregation, but they have no idea who.
My concern is that if you start adding in any specifics they will be more likely to go on a witch hunt - so my thoughts are, don't put the clues there to encourage them to even begin with.
Zoos: We we could have a picture of happy ex-JWs skipping about and eating fruit in the foreground, with a picture of Watchtoer HQ burning in the background and regular pioneers with late model 4-door sedans falling into a cravass.
LOL There definitely needs to be some fruit :D

EdenOne: I’ve been a baptized Jehovah’s Witness for over 99 years. I’m currently an active / an inactive Publisher / Regular Pioneer / Ministerial Servant / Elder / Circuit Overseer / Bethelite, assigned to a congregation in state / country.
You've got to be careful about encouraging people to be too specific otherwise:
I'd suggest being completely vague about who you are, but definitely include something about the congregation so they know for sure it's come from someone in the congregation.

freemindfade: The silent will speak The sleeping will awake
I think there's something very powerful in the use of the word 'silent'. Putting them on notice that people are present but choosing to be silent is a powerful message to send through the ranks.
There's power in anonymity. And we also know how WT hates Anonymous.

A couple of thoughts to contribute to the mix of ideas coming in...
About the headline...
To me, "8/8 world wide disassociate" is a bit of a mouthful and does not flow so easily when spoken.
The shorter "8/8 Disassociate" is rhythmic and alliterative and sounds much punchier and stronger IMHO.
Just to be clear I'm reading this aloud as "Eight Eight Disassociate".
As I write that I'm imagining a crowd of people quietly chanting this and building up to a crescendo... :)
About a possible logo...
Disassociate. If you're thinking of a logo I could see a graphics designer playing with the 'ss' and stylising these as 8's.
do you remember the wt lawyer trying to get justice mcclelland to accept a new and improved report from the wt "expert", monica applewhite?.
the wt lawyer even managed to squeeze more time from the commission for applewhite to prepare her report.
funny thing is, applewhite never submitted that report.. i guess she has been too busy with catholic business...no time for the wt dudes.
The internet will not forget...

OrphanCrow: Applewhite never submitted that report
Do you know this in the affirmative?
Interesting that the Catholics too are discussing her performance.
I imagine that her career can only be extremely damaged. Anyone contemplating hiring her is one Google search away from Angus Stewart meticulously dissecting her PhD and her report.
I think she was badly briefed by WT and thought it would be easy money. And I think she was naive and did not know what she was letting herself in for. I would not be at all surprised if after that day she told WT to go and stuff it.

The risk is HQ would handle it like any other organisation handling a public relations situation. They would assign a few people to deal with it and no one else really need know. They'll skim a few thousand letters over a few days and quietly put them in the bin and that will be it.
But if those same few thousand letters went to a few thousand KH's then there would be a few thousand elders wondering what to do and a few thousand calls to the branch and to the CO etc. and the effects would last for weeks/months.
I think it very much depends on the outcome you are seeking to achieve.

If they are anonymous I think they would. I get the sense that they would do what they could to quickly bury it and minimise the effect as it's all happening at the centre. It would be just a blip on their radar.
But send to individual KH's and they have a potential nightmare on their hands as word gets around, and elders don't know what to do and they phone the branch and they scour their congregations... etc etc... :)
