Biblical Prophecies written BEFORE fulfillment

i'm not sure anyone will have interest.

but one of the things that proves to me that the bible is accurate is the prophecies that were written before the fullfillment, in detal.

The book presents itself as the work of a prophet named Daniel who lived during the 6th century BCE. This prophecy accurately predicted the time of Jesus crucifixtion, more than 500 years BEFORE it happened. It sandwiched his death between the 2 future events (rebuilding Jerusalem and the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans) which have both been very well documented in history.

There is no evidence that those prophecies were written before the events happened. Since you are using accepted documented history we can stick to that rather that use interpretations of prophecy since there are so very many interpretations.

Free will, NVL. God has never forced people into a course of action.

In the OT no such thing exists. It's "Obey or die". The same tactics the Mafia used. Even in the NT it's "Love God or Burn in Hell". No free will. Coercion with a threat of death behind it.

I don't know WHO you respect, but imagine me calling your mother or wife or best friends some of the names that people have called God on the site.

That's between you and them.

God never commanded anyone to "rape" anyone. God never commanded anyone to take a "slave". There are some cultural things that we don't understand but if you read the OT with an open mind and heart, you can see that God WAS a truly loving God.

Sorry, doesn't wash. If they did these things in the name of God and he didn't command it, he should have corrected them for lying in his name. If the rape and slavery allowed in the Law was not what he wanted, he should have corrected. We have a law today, depraved indifference, that describes God's attitude when he had the power to prevent, rape, murder and genocide and didn't, even when it was done in his name.

Like I said, you focus on books like Judges and forget books like Jeremiah or Isaiah were God opens his heart and pleads with people to come back to him. Why did he want them back? For His OWN benefit?

In an open discussion this can be proved.

So prove it.

When you examine the evidence, you must come to the conclusion that there is only 1 truth.

Then you MUST be held to the highest standard of evidence. That shouldn't be a problem, then.

I understand God very well.

Oh BD. Not very Paul-like of you. When you are strong, then you are weak. Claiming to understand God very well sugests you feel strong and, as a beliver in the Bible, you must know that is when you are at your weakest.

And God does not change like scientific theory.

God in the Bible does nothing BUT change. First he exists as a creator, then as a personal friend, then as a covetor of male penises, then a demander of demonstrations of loyalty, then as a matchmaker, then as a lawgiver, then a warrior, then an arbiter and then disappears completely in favor of Jesus.

He has acted in my life more than I can conceive.

You have concluded he has acted. To presume he is giving you attention is presuming your life is somehow more important than all those poor people that die in earthquakes, disease, from hunger, etc.

So the pity goes to those that have not given Him a chance and instead decide to reject Him because of a corrupt organization of men.

So the pity goes to those that have not seen him, heard him, and instead decide to no matter what believe in Him because it makes them feel special

You decide to pull things out of context and focus on the warfare. And it shows that you don't understand the ENTIRE OT taken in full.

Explain slavery, genocide, transferred punishment, rape, forced marriage of virgins, etc. in context. Remember, since god could do anything, to protect the Israelites he just could have softened the hearts of their enemies or had an angel blow a stiff hot wind in their face or causeed all their sandal laces to break every time they tried to march.

You let your emotions get the best of you instead of seeing WHY God did what he did.

That goes both ways, BD. You like to make the blanket statements that apply equally as well in your direction.

BTW, your use of inflammatory words like "disgusting lack of faith" make it look like you are making personal attacks from a postition of weakness. I am sure you would prefer others to not describe you as having a disgusting lack of critical thinking.

And my pity was not meant for you per say, but for those that decide to desrespect something that they don't understand.
