grewupjw1969, I don't think that there is nothing worse than feeling like you're going to choke to death/can't breathe. It gives the people around you quite a scare too; doesn't it? ...and you'd do anything just to breathe normal and not have that attention... Yeah, I know how you feel. Take care of yourself and if you have to go to the hospital just go. That's what they are there for.

by MsMcDucket inmany of you know that i had bilateral vocal cord paralysis.
the cords were in the closed position and required tracheostomy.
i had the trach for about 5 months.

Hi Snoozy, Lupus is an autoimmune disorder, generally, a person with Lupus will have a positive ANA (blood test). I don't know about the "touch" stuff???

Well, I've been through a lot. I've had a lot of tests and scans, I've had a double mastectomy with left axillary node dissection, and I had my first dose/s of chemo last Monday. I'm going to have 6 doses of FEC chemo every three weeks; than I have to have 12 doses of Taxotere chemo weekly; than I'm supposed to get radiation and start some sort of hormonal prevention for cancer (My breast cancer was/is ER and PR+).
It's not fun; but I'm hanging in there.
