What I really dislike is the people who feel offended when someone criticize some aspect of his/her religion.
I felt that when I was a convinced JW and I much regret .
i'm wondering how people feel about us exjws either becoming atheists or continuing on with a faith in god?.
do you get angry or frustrated at the opposing view?.
i'm new but i've seen different reactions to both on here...as for me i am happy to live and let live nowadays...its ok with me whatever people want to choose for themselves..... personally i still have enormous faith and love for god....if the jws couldnt destroy it i dont think much else could...?.

inspired from another current thread.
i note some people are asking if they are allowed to participate in a questionaire for ex jw's if they are just fading or have not been df'd?.
my own situation is this: tecnicaly i am a jw, baptised as a young tweeny and never reproved, df'd or da'd.
Being and EXJW is a mindset.
For me the most important things are
Do you still believe it ?
Do you Still give financial support?
Are you still being controlled by it?
Are you allowing your children to be indoctrinated by it?
If the answer to all the above is "No" - then you are an EX-JW
In that case I'm actually a exJW although I'm going to the meetings yet. Great!
in my cong i could name more than half the brothers who seemed to revel in squashing the sisters back into the door mat where they belonged.
nothing personaly irrated me more than being treated like a lower form of life simply because i didn't have a penis!.
but i never saw any brothers make a stand, or try to treat the sisters better.
In a lot of congregations there are women that could do a better work than some ministerial servants or elders.
Some cases are stupid: a man is chosen to be a ministerial servant because there are no more men available although there are a lot of women better prepared. This is totally unfair.

i'm from spain and i'm a jw yet.
indeed, i have been posting in a spanish-speaking forum for some years.. the reason to continue is that i have my family in the wt with all the consecuencies you know.. i am now in a english speaking congregation here in spain.
Hi dgp.
It's happening in Europe too. I know brothers from Germany and France and they told me that there aren't any new German or French brother or sister in their congregations since many years ago. The same in Spain.
I think the WT thinks their future is in South America (where they are growing a lot) and Africa. The try to believe it because they don't want to attack the REAL problem they have: they have to "reform" theirselves but without losing their old members. Very difficult I think.

Hi James.
That happends here too. Even I know JWs helping immigrants with their official "papers", paying them lawyers and so on. It seems they are "buying them".
In fact, the congregation is so successful doing so that Americans and Britons are coming to English-speaking congregations.

Hi to everyone!

I am now in a English speaking congregation here in Spain. I have moved to this congregation some months ago and it's embarrasing how it works. They attract desperate people who don't know anybody in the country. Most are poor immigrants that need some help.
Have you been in this kind of congregation in your country?
