Didn't look at the videos, but besides absolute nothing then everything came into existence, 2 other ideas I've heard are.
1. The universe is always contracting and expanding, right now expanding but soon more and more mass, planets, galaxies, etc, will join. Each time creating a stronger gravity pull, and eventually everything compresses into one lump and explodes making another big bang with a never ending cycle.
2. Our universe is the result of a 4th dimensional star exploding and turning into a black hole. (If that's the case then just imagine one star in our entire universe spawning another universe. Means at least one other universe outside of ours.

Let's put forth the (very simplistic) hypothesis that it requires a lightning bolt to a primordial lake to start off the first. In our labs we do not have the space for a lake nor is anyone in the world capable of generating full-force lightning (we don't even fully understand the phenomenon). That is the difficulty right now in evolutionary theory - we have all the pieces and the puzzle is almost complete, but it's missing some things in the middle, namely, the absolute certainty of the genesis of life (we have an idea of where to look) as well as (on the other end) how to shape our future evolution (although we've been doing that inadvertently for the last 10,000 years or so).
Scientists can easily create an airtight room, extract all the oxygen from it, have only chemicals and gases thought to have been around during that time, and electricity can be surged into the pool in that room.

You think that potentially finding out that an alien life form was responsible for creating life here on earth will solve the question of the origin of life? Isn't it obvious that if that was the case, then the next logical question would be "who created them" and so on?
It would solve the origin of OUR life, but not all life. But dismissing it no matter what and never attempting to check if that is a possibility if it actually is will ensure we never get the answers. Let's say we create an artificial/robotic life form. Thousands or millions of years from now the Earth is a desolate waste but this artificial robotic lifeform were made to replicate and create new ones as older ones eventually died. They can dismiss that another life form ever created and became their origin and try to forever figure out how metals and circuit boards evolved from something floating around on the desolate Earth but the fact would be that a biological lifeform had existed and created them long ago. If they figure that out, they found the truth of their origin. They still won't know where life originated but they'd be a step closer.

Inserting an "intelligent designer" guarantees we will never find the real answer.
Absolute hogwash. Since intelligent designer does not have to mean supernatural, then if another biological life form was the intelligent designer then that gives a good chance of the process eventually being discovered and able to replicate. If this never happens, then more than likely a supernatural designer, other dimension, or our universe is a simulation of some sort. Random or biological design will be able to be replicated at some point.

Because once life has got established and evolved to exploit every possible niche the conditions that allowed it to get started - probably in alkaline vents under the ocean - no longer exist.
If it could happen by random chance, then scientists should easily be able to put this 'soup' together.

DNA is found in all life forms. (Viruses for debate if one considers them a life form). DNA works similar to computer programming code. As in the OP post, what came first the chicken or the egg...intelligent life using DNA as a programming code for all life forms on Earth.

I agree with you and that is also my question. There is no answer though. So some will believe that it just randomly happened somehow and others see it as proof of a creator.
I see it as intelligent design but the fallacy of those who oppose that is they assume that admitting or believing in intelligent design means full acceptance of a religion or God belief. It could be that another advanced biological life form designed it and they are no longer around now, we are left trying to figure out our origins and what purpose of life. For now I believe we were designed, DNA as a coding language to design much life, and designed in a way to adapt and evolve. Beyond that, no idea atm. Who did it, why, if this is it, or an afterlife, etc.
... but, they fail to take note of one important detail.. i believe that if we are going to have any chance of reasoning with a jw about blood, this is the place we need to begin.. don't try to convince them that it was only a dietary law.
it wasn't, and they will never go along with it.. don't tell them that saving a life is more important than obeying a law, even a seemingly trivial one.

Nope, it's all due to systematic racism. Bernie wants to give them all free room and board for college. Restore voting to those who have felony records. Give them minimum $15 an hour +. It'll come down to either GIVE them everything or they threaten to riot and start race war.
