Unless science is now teaching that the big bang happened within a huge realm of open space vs the expansion itself making that open space, then the reviews are all correct on him not answering the question. I even read some reviews where the athiests were frustrated on how much about religion was spoken of in the book. They wanted a purely scientific book and were upset it wasted time debating religion and thought the book more a bait and switch for religious people.

Answer yes or no for one question on the book cofty, does the book explain how the universe came from nothing, with nothing meaning 'the absense of anything'?
If you say yes I'll be very interested to see how the universe came from nothing. If this nothing has properties and attributes then you either didn't read the book or lying.

I looked up your book Cofty, tons of reviews claim the author doesn't stick to 'nothing' but tried to redefine 'nothing' into 'something'. I'll quote one of the reviews, " This book is a complete non-starter on the question implied in it's title "Why there is something rather than nothing". However the author doesn't let that deter him from redefining the word "nothing" to mean actually "something" and that "something" actually has properties such as "unstable", "energy", "dense", and "hot" i.e., by definition NOT "nothing"."
So since many reviews had the same claim, all I can say is, "Nothing to see here, move along!".

Who told me that? I learned that in elementary school science, a thing called, "The law of conservation of energy", which states that energy can be neither created nor destroyed. Or are you saying this scientific fact had new light like the WT and no longer applies?

It is absolutely NOT pointless. As you said you are certain there is no god. Others see the evidence for spontaneous life and order out of nothing as easy to believe as everything here created by a God. Both sides can poke tons of holes in each sides claims. So agnostics are not at all convinced on either end of the spectrum.

At the core they end up being the same.
Big bang cause by nothing or God said, 'let it be' and big bang happened.
Impossible for them to believe that God is eternal and always has been yet they believe that energy is eternal, can be neither created nor destroyed. Everything is energy, God is energy, so believe in energy being eternal is the same as believing God is eternal.
Everything came from nothing or everything came from God.
Order spontaneously appeared out of chaos to result in life as we know it or God created order out of chaos.
