An analysis of scriptures regarding Jerusalem's servitude to Babylon
by sd-7 inthe issues about this have been beaten to death.
i spent my whole commute to work trying to ponder the scriptures involved, especially remember one of those sites, i think it was jehovahs-judgment.co.uk or something that had this discussion of the scriptures and how all of it supports 607 b.c.e.
i felt ill-equipped to discuss the issues without reading pertinent scriptures myself.

"Bearing Thorough Witness", page 115, paragraph 19
by sd-7 in"bearing thorough witness about god's kingdom", page 115, paragraph 19:.
"that peace and unity now existed in the antioch congregation was clearly evident.
rather than contending with the brothers from jerusalem, the brothers in antioch treasured the visit of judas and silas, for it was only after "they had passed some time, they were let go in peace by the brothers to those who had sent them out," that is, back to jerusalem.

Read up on similar groups--Unification & 7th Day Adv....
by sd-7 ini gathered the courage to attempt reading information from other groups that i understand are classified as possibly using mind control.
i started with the one people always associate with jws--the 7th day adventists.. in reading their official site, i was pleased at first to hear some noble statements about freedom and about respect for the bible.
then, i read something that sounded like an echo of whichever watchtower article you want to pull from, to paraphrase, 'you can't understand the bible without [jehovah's organization, the 7th day adventist church, fill in the blank] in mind.

Looking for someone I used to know...
by sd-7 indon't know if this belongs in the reunions section, but i was thinking, once i woke up, about someone i knew growing up who became an 'apostate'.
i'd love to talk to her again, see where she is in life.
so i'm reaching out to see if anyone knows her.. her name was cynthia smith--folks always called her 'cindy'.

Anyone know what the Questions From Readers is in the August 15th, 2010 WT?
by sd-7 injust curious if any new rules were laid out.. i like the approach to it.
in plain language, it'd go like: it's certainly not our business to tell you what to do, it's up to you.
but um, here's what you're supposed to do if you don't want to, you know, die at armageddon, like, forever.

The Finished Mystery's unscriptural statements #1
by sd-7 inin just the first 30 pages or so, apart from the near worship of russell, i found four significant points.
to preface that, i'd like to add the mention of russell's words in the new 'bearing thorough witness' book, 'we wish no homage for our writings'.
"pastor russell was a humble man.
