Arguing about who's "event" had the most people is as unimportant as who won the popular vote. It doesn't change anything.

So, the Womens March ... What Is It For?
by Simon init seems like mobilizing after the election, which seems pointless.
i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?
... and the election happened already.. is anyone else confused?

It's very very easy to show the press up as liars. That's not really an argument you want to be making.
Step 1: Erode confidence in the free press by painting them as liars and hypocrites
Step 2: Give people news sources free of lies, or at least present the view of the government as a balance
Step 3: Should it really be legal to lie that much? A free press is okay, but spreading lies is bad. Let's get the legal system involved
Step 4: Done!

So, you are one that thinks violence is justified against "nazis" ... but then the left is quick to label everyone a nazi. No way that can go wrong and get out of hand ...
Yes, I sometimes think violence is justified against nazis, but not in this instance.
Let us see what happens, but I am quite sure that Sargon of Akkad (and similar supposed "the real left"-wing "intellectuals") are now going to make videos where they will focus very heavily on the few negative stories surrounding the protests against trump.
They will focus on two things: (1) paint the protests as being ridiculous and self-defeating by pointing out stupid signs or stupid things that were said (2) paint the protests as violent and thereby hypocritical by pointing to the few episodes of smashed car windows etc.
Wait for the next installment of "this week in stupid" by sargon of akkad and let's see if I am right.
These are standard propaganda strategies.

Simon: You believe HRC is the better candidate than Trump, presumably for good reasons (or least worst candidate, or whatever).
Those reasons are either rational, in which case they are available for everyone (including the large group of coal-miners who are tired of hearing about bathrooms) or they are not. I assume we both think they are rational, such as Trump denial of global warming, or that Trump seems unable to open his mouth without lying.
The view that HRC lost because she was too mean to white america, too preoccupied with racial discrimination, etc. might be true in a causal sense (I still doubt it since I simply can't recall her bringing these topics up a lot), however what that really mean is that white america (let's call it that) allowed less important reasons for voting Trump get in the way for the more weighty, rational reasons for voting HRC; reasons that we both recognize exists (otherwise we too would prefer Trump).

I would advise anyone to simply listen to Trump's first speech for the CIA and tell me he comes across as a person who is fully mentally competent. This is the same guy who compared the IC to nazis a few weeks ago in a tweet:

The president of the USA is calling the free press liars

Because young men and women, boy and girls, have just witnessed a man become president who has boasted about assaulting women. It is important young people are reassured that this is not normal and most Americans don't support it.
Damn straight. The ability to peacefully protest a bully (oh yes, a car window was broken and a nazi was suckerpunched, there is a few hundred easy bucks for the nut-right youtube community!) is exactly what makes america great in the first place!
And that Trump makes the number of people attending his inauguration a major point of his first speech for the CIA is just delicious.

8 years from now:
117) "Trump is on tape asking puting for advice on foreign policy"
So what, everyone says putin knows more about foreign policy than Trump so perhaps it is to the better
118) Trump has admitted to having poop-sex with 17 hookers from Kazakhstan
Isn't that a matter of his own privacy?
119) Trump has sold 41 nuclear weapons to north-korea
About time someone did something to increase exports to Asia!
120) Trump has changed the constitution to allow himself unlimited terms
HRC did something just as bad. People don't care.

Because not everyone weighs every issue or fact in an identical manner? Otherwise, every election would be 100% landslide one way or the other.
That is a fact of psychology, however either you believe one candidate is better for objective reasons, or you think it is a tie, or you vote for the candidate which would benefit you more than the other.

I would definitely have voted for Sanders but probably voted for Clinton narrowly before Trump (or not bothered voting for either). I totally understand why people voted for him.
If you would not have voted Trump, why are the reasons you had for not voting trump not available for others?
Either Trump is the better candidate, or HRC is

Simon: Would you have voted Trump?
Why/Why not?
