If there is such a thing as ORIGINAL SIN what does that do to "morality"?

They positively will not die. ---> subtle reference to the original sin.
The scripture which identifies the original sin:
Genesis 3:3-5
" 4 At this the serpent said to the woman: "YOU positively will not die. 5 For God knows that in the very day of YOUR eating from it YOUR eyes are bound to be opened and YOU are bound to be like God, KNOWING good and bad."
How close to being deceived by the same original sin get than that?
Not understanding is how deception can work.
After all, do misled people know they have been misled?
Even in this post modern world the exact same deception still works!
Satan's success has been spectacular!
Being a victim of the same and coming to terms with that, is a humiliating experience.

Not sure what you mean they "positively will not die." As far as I know everyone dies.
It gives Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses a chance to think about how inimately involved in the Original Sin they were as Jehovah's Witnesses.
Even in these supposedly post modern time the same lie still works!

some of the older ones are expensive or hard to come by - i know you can buy them on cd's but i'd like to own one or two of the "classics of propaganda"- some of the ones that speak for themselves as to the ridiculousness of this religion.. of course any magazine i pick up today speaks to me of the ridiculousness, but you need something much more hardcore for the jw's.. any recommendations?.

This July 1st 1955 Watchtower helps to highlight the audacity of those presumptuous people who re-invented Jesus Christs baptism.
Look for the place where it specifically says; "nor in the name of any organization".

The Proclaimers Book.
Especially Page # 109.
You have to understand how "God's Spirit Directed Organization" fits into the re-invented baptismal vows before the profundity hits you!
Page 109 explains exactly what that Organization is, "a number of brothers" .. (a man's number).
The baptismal vows give that organization worship.
But hey Jehovah's Witnesses insist that a full immersions is required before the baptism is considered valid.
So what is the last part of the body to go under the water?
The Forehead or ........ the Hand.

What YOU HOLD TO BE RIGHT OR WRONG inside your mind is highly subjective.
The original sin!
In fact this whole forum is full of conversations about what is right and what is wrong. What is good and what is bad.
It is full of opinions and convictions. Some of which are subject to change at any moment depending on the convenience of the present circumstance.
The consequence eventually leads to decisions made using those very same opinions and convictions.
Millions of decisions made every day. All made by people who think their decision is the right one.
Every decision has a consequence.
The total consequence of them all leads to what we see happening in the world around us.
It measures the value of what the most intelligent people are thinking.
If it doesn't then the most intelligent people are just not intelligent enough to make a difference.
You too can be like God knowing good or bad, right or wrong.

The "Flood" in Noah's day--why wasn't that Armageddon enough?
by Terry inthe great day of god the almighty certainly is a fit description for the destruction of men, women, children, grandmothers, infants and puppy dogs in the days of noah.. why didn't destroying everybody on earth except a remnant of 8 count as armageddon?.
i mean, if you are starting all over by genocide--shouldn't it count for more than bad temper?.

Who would design a car that could simply "decide" not to start or which could "choose" to go right when steered left?
Yep, if it were possible to eventually end up with one that just went where I wanted, as fast or slow as I wanted, without very little effort on my part, even while I was sleeping, simply just because it loved me
Would the Designer beg the car to see things his way? Would the Designer threaten to junk his invention if it didn't VOLUNTEER to accept the driver's intentions?
It's the only way where the end result is love. There is no alternative.
I guess I see thing very differently to you.
