In this world I think cynism is a necessary attribute.

There are so many shysters!

On the other hand it can reach the point where the the enormous amount of evidence can

drive cynicism beyond any acceptable limit.

But even then there will still be cycnics.

A strange paradox.

Here is something the Apostle Paul said in 2nd Thessalonians Chapter 2 after describing the condition of Christianity immediately before Jesus Christs return which, I am convinced is targeted at people in the Ex-Jehovah's Witness Community:

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14

They came out and said they have not yet been appointed over all of Christs' belongings, which the OM book said is the number one reason we *should* trust them.

If they have not yet been appointed then the "Evil Slave" must still be in amoungst them!

This is a biggie!

They are painting themselves into a corner they will not be able to get out of.

Matthew 24:45-51

45 "Who really is the faithful and discreet slavewhom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time? 46 Happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so. 47 Truly I say to YOU, He will appoint him over all his belongings.48 "But if ever that evil slave should say in his heart, ‘My master is delaying,’ 49 and should start to beat his fellow slaves and should eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards, 50 the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know, 51 and will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his part with the hypocrites. There is where [his] weeping and the gnashing of [his] teeth will be.

So then what about the "evil slave" who in his heart says my master is delaying?

Are there any slaves who outright said that the end would happen on such and such a date and were wrong?

They are now OBLIGED to say in their hearts; "My Master is delaying".

If they have now come out and said they are not yet appointed then all of the above is still valid and ongoing!

Does anyone understand?

Romans 9:25-26

and in the place where it was said to them, ‘YOU are not my people,’there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.

[Name of Person] is no longer a Jehovah's Witness .................................. YOU are not my people,’

Ok, lets twist this scripture to fit our own ideas:

Luke 21:8

8 He said: "Look out that YOU are not misled; for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The due time has approached.’ Do not go after them.

Has any organization in the world declared that; "the due time has approached"?

and

Have they done that on the basis of Jesus Christs name?

A lot of Jehovah's Witnesses will say that; "God's Spirit Directed Organization" does not speak on the basis of Jesus Christs name.

In that case I would direct the to their CD Library as follows:

w59 5/1 p. 269 Attain Completeness in the New World Society

7 To hold to the headship of Christ, it is therefore necessary to obey the organization that he is personally directing. Doing what the organization says is to do what he says. Resisting the organization is to resist him.

So.................. where have I twisted this scripture?

Jesus Christ said; "Do Not Go After Them"!

Does that sound like a recommendation, a suggestion or perhaps even a matter of conscience or

is it a commandment?

I think a person should obey Jesus Christ!

By thinking that am I asking someone to follow me?

Follow Jesus Christ?
