i visited a kh today with my wife and the brother who gave the public talk.
said that there is so much unnatural use of the sex organs by the world's.
youth, that the medical field is encouraging all parents with children 12 years.
one elder, who was always described as over zealous, said in a public talk that because when we ejaculate there is a certian amount of blood in the semen, masturbation is an abuse of blood.
i mentioned this in a previous blog, and one person added that if we follow this logic then having intercourse is like having a blood tranfusion.
ho! dear they do make it difficult.
i don't feel i have to know the truth about how life started or where we're coming from etc, but can't help thinking abt it anyway now and then.
guess it's only natural.. right now i feel really clueless and that i have too little knowledge abt the darwin, big bang theory.... (i was always taught by the dubs that darwin questioned his own theory...but was it really so?)..
i have a close friend who's sure of the evolution but can really the complex and wonderful life and nature come abt by chance (even though he says it's not chance...).
the two questions that undermine evolution and creation, are the same.
if evolution is the answer, how can we come from nothing
if god created everything, where did god come from......
dont say he`s always been here,
dont say its to complicated for humans to understand,
dont say as the jw`s always used to say "there are some questions you shouldnt ask"

this whole concept we have of what god is, what god isn`t, blah, blah, blah....
its all so obviously made up from an human point of view,

now, we do not have to follow their direction and believe that whatever we were being told was by "theocratic" arrangement.. so, what freedoms do you have now that you have been liberated?.
i`m just going to live life till i die, not going to worry about people who try to run my life like RELIGION, GOVERMENT.

the thread on creepiest things at the door got me to thinking about the field service.. when i was having my initial doubts, and keeping up with "theocratic" requirements was hard (we had a new born and a two year old diagnosed with asthma which had us in the hospital several times, and only one vehicle), i had mine broken.. i can't really remember what the man said.
he was angry and took out all of his frustrations on me.
i had never been so abused before.
the ministry never broke me, i`m a people person so i just saw it as a challenge. one guy threatend to stab me with a pitch fork, i told him to do it. thinking back on that incident i would say that was a sign of just how despartely unhappy i was in the jw`s,so completely frustrated that i became very confrontational.
i used to ax pioneer, i was really struggling to make ends meet as my witness wife was a shopaholic (also a very unhappy person) i told an elder that i was thinking of stopping for the winter months to try an make more money, he told me i lacked faith.
one brother i knew actually punched a householder because he became so abusive, he got away with an apollogy. crazy days!!!
also remember meeting a guy who was brought up in the jw`s but had fell away, both his parents were of the 144,000 i was told. he sat there drinking whiskey unkempt, smoking, i was new into it was full of zeal going on about what jehovah would do etc etc.
he fixed me with a stare an said "oh thats what they belive now is it" and in that expression i felt so much disgust and regret, always stayed with me, and its nearly 25yrs ago now.
at least i have/do at times.. dear god.

this book is like my childhood all over again.
anywho, it reminded me of the horror stories my parents would create.
