i was watching this documentary of micro biologist who are sampling all the oceans at many different depths collecting all the microorganisms with different size filter and then processing them to collect just their dna and then sending the purified dna material to their lab where they have a bunch of very sophisticated and state the art equipment to break up the dna and then recombine it into gene sequences and then record it in the their super computer at the tune of reading millions of bits of dna code per minute.. the result of this study according to the team of scientist mind boggling and the information gathered will change our lives in so many ways.

the super computer can reconstruct the dna into genes and chromosomes and millions of new genes have already been discovered.. here is one link i found on the net that might be of interest with a partial quote of some of the beneficial uses:.

Google, I find it humorous on your chart that you show the beginnings of Mormonism, Methodists.. even Darwin... but don't put any JW history on it (other than the 607 and "7 gentile times"). Am I just missing it?

Does it agree with google_mE's chart regarding the pyramids being built before the flood? (So... Egypt existed, pyramids were built, the flood destroyed Egypt, and then some of Noah's offspring went back and restored egyptian culture?)

If The Bible Is The Word Of God...

many here have abandoned the bible as "the word of god" and there are numerous reasons for said abandonment.

however what i am interested in finding out is if the bible is the word of god, then what would you expect to find?.

The biblie testifies to itself those that don't believe in it are fools to themselves and it's truths.

So, you must also believe www.timecube.com. After all, if you don't believe in the time cube theory, then the theory itself says you are "STUPID EVIL and deserve the upcomming HOLOCAUST!!!"

I mean seriously, is that the best the bible can do? Call people fools if they don't believe? It can't step up and provide proof? I mean, don't you pretty much know you've provided the best argument when the other person can only resort to name-calling...

Fat Men with Beards are Unclean

have you noticed how illustrations in the watchtower magazine reinforce witness stereotypes?.

the april 15 issue of the watchtower, on the back page, shows a man viewing pornographic material on his computer screen.

the appearance is not of a cleancut man with business shirt and tie in this case; no, this unclean man is portly and has a black beard.

In one congragation I was in there was a brother with a severe skin condition and his doctor strongly discouraged him from shaving his beard for a while, as the razor would make the condition worse.

Needless to say, he was treated like a leaper, even though he did nothing wrong. He lost all congragation privalages while he had the beard (he was the liturature servent and managed the sound frequently), and was told not to go out in field service until his condition improved.

A few months later everything was back to normal... but sheesh... I can't see Jesus rejecting someone who wants to volunteer just because they have a medical condition.

I'm sure 99% of the world would agree that this incident is sad and disgusting. You recently posted in a topic about 'witness types' that it was demeaning and inappropriate for people to be generalizing and labeling JW's... so please stop generalizing the 99% of the world that is horrified by this event and labeling everyone that is not a JW as 'evil'. It could have just as easily involved JW kids from Liberia.

The statistics are in. Jehovah's Witnesses are not morally superior to everyone else as they like to think.
