do you remember the old jeff bridges film ''the last starman''?.
basic theme was an extra terestrial energy life transmogrified into a human and impregnated a woman with a seed that would become the savior of humanity.. hollywood is an old hand at using good v evil sort of messages that have ideoligical ties to the bible and the 'need' for mankind to be saved from themselves.. what gets me about this particular film is that the savior to come was there for all humanity.
no conditions were placed on how many from what nations could benefit, nor was salvation only for those who 'believed' or were smart enough to read visions or hidden messages etc.
The thing I don't get is that God "undid" Jesus's sacrifice when he brought him back to life. Just what exactly was "sacraficed" here anyway?
The whole 'sacrafice' is equivilent to someone deleting a file on your computer, and then you open your recycle bin, find the file, and pick 'Restore'. The end result is that nothing changed.

Agreed. These "experiments" seem extremely flawed - for one it is already known that a flat EEG is not an indicator of no electrical brain activity, as the brain can function below the sensitivities of the machines even while the body is clearly still alive (drunk, drugged, etc.)
Secondly the article is still based more-less exclusively on anecdotal evidience. The fact that we can resuscitate people who are clinically dead is not news, nor are stories of them remembering dream-like events while their brains went through an extremely distressed state. But personal 'experiences' do not count as scientific evidence, contrary to the article's introduction.

I think the DF policy had become so important to the WTS. is because the the entire organization was developed on a false deceitful premise notably 1914, the end times doctrine. Knowledgeable and analytical thinking people were not the kind of people the WTS. wants inside their organization.
I agree. If what the Watchtower said was true, rather than being a doctrine built on sand - they wouldn't need to resort to radical actions in order to defend it.
Because the critism is valid, they can't risk their followers hearing of it. JW's are therefore constantly reminded to clamp their hands over their ears the second they hear anything that might be taken as critism.
