I met Loesch once at an international convention. I remember everyone around him was thanking him for his "wonderful talk" (which was quite boring actually, absolutely nothing new there and he is not a good speaker anyway) and I just wanted to run away from the scene (or ask why dont you get rid of that 1914 already...)

Andersinfo: Swingle - Sydlik - Fekel - Jackson
by TheOldHippie insince you've known quite a few of the gb members etc., and mentioned that when jaracz entered a room, sydlik would leave, i'd like to ask you about sydlik - what was your impression of him?
it seems he was sort of a reformist without enough power, but i've also read that some say he had a less glamorous role at the 1980 events?.
and then swingle, of whom i've heard nothing but nice things - your impression?.

Oh and I might add that it would be really interesting to hear about Ed Dunlap, too.

Yes that Panorama was sooo awful.. I wonder how many Jw who saw that was shocked about his behaviour. He sounded so cold and then just walked cowardly away.

WTS, Faithful Slave or Evil Slave?
by mindmelda indoes the wts fit the description of the evil slave in jesus parable?.
i'd like to see everyone that cares to discuss that.
sometimes when i read that parable, it occurs to me that maybe it's the wts that better fits the description of the evil slave, the one who beat his brothers, abused them.

When they are beating their brothers because these brothers dont believe in all of their interpretations about prophecy etc by kicking them out of the congregation, then they are pretty evil imo.

Yeah.. it might be.. but it would still be interesting to hear about these guys. Is there any slightest possibility that one of them would see how things really are in the org. and start reforming things?

Lets forget Jaracz and 95-year-old Barr for a while. The 7 new guys will soon have all the power anyway. I'm talking about:
-Gerrit Losch
-David Splane
-Stephen Lett
-Samuel Herd
-Guy Pierce
-Anthony Morris
-Geoffrey Jackson
Have you had any personal experiences about any of these? Is any of them reasonable? It would be very interesting to hear. I dont know much about them, except that Losch had said in Gilead that "many things our publications should be changed" or something like that and that Pierce treated harshly some pedophile victims. Oh and I heard a talk by Herd on the net and it was really scary and cold stuff.

Apostate CO?
by Marmite inwhat would you think if a co said the following things from the platform?
during a talk entitled the spirit and the bride keep on saying "come" he goes off at a tangent talking about how from 1920 to 1925 we said "millions now living will never die".
he went into great detail about how at first the title was "may" but was changed to"will".

We just had this same talk and there was nothing about the millions will never die -thing.
