Yes, definitely Mad Sweeney. This book is to be kept secret. Outside companies, unbelievers or sisters are not permitted to this work.
Guess that's null and void now.
I think this letter should be posted on the website that has the hearing about this particular elduh's book.
edited to add: I wonder how the ordinary JW is going to feel knowing a Catholic-of Satan's Christendom, worldly, woman has seen this book and they haven't. Seems the lowly publisher has just dropped below that of a Catholic person in importance. Hmmm...
i am shocked that an expert would simply examine only the literature given to her by the organisation she was defending and simply accept it.
also the ease she has in making huge sweeping statements when comparing the jw's to all other international religious organisations simply undermines her professionalism.. i am also thoroughly shocked at her blatant, 'expert for hire', 'will defend anyone' apparent decision making, the organisation is responsible for covering up thousands of abuse victims by its own records, in australia alone!
never mind their judicial process being heartless and traumatic!.
Let me get this straight...She (a catholic, worldly woman) has had access to the elder's book and other confidential material.
...Let that sink in.
Linking to Magwitch's thread on the letter about keeping this holier-than-thou handbook secret...

this says it all.. elder on stand is mute till prompted.. .
i guess i could encourage you to watch to the end and a guest commentary, lol..
the jw delusion is a psychosis i.e.
the holding on to a belief irrespective of sound evidence to the contrary.
it has everything to do with the indulgent pleasure of embracing an all encompassing idea which promises to resolve every human frailty and inconvenience.
I think it's larger than the JW's, applying to all religious belief.
How can one be awakened? Finding that particular person's personal stimuli (if you will) that reaches through the barrier they've erected to get at the heart of what matters most for them.
Sometimes it takes years of planting seeds. Sometimes there is suddenly an 'ah-hah' moment for them.
When you read about the awakening factors of those of us on this board, some are similar, some are different.
But it can happen.
i read it but it certainly didn't apply to me.

So this brochure seems targeted for ex-JWs and only a certain sub-set of that group.
LOL @ punky.
I posted this on a friend's FB page as I am having a discussion with one of his Catholic friends.
The Christian faith is around 2000+ years old. Modern man, aka homo sapien, has been on Earth anywhere from 100,000 to 250,000 years. Where was god and Jesus all that time? People lived their lives suffering, dying early of infections, disease, starvation, many children dying during childbirth, men killing each other over land, women, and possessions and then suddenly after 98,000 to 248,000 years of this, god decides he needs to intervene? And his answer is to send his son to the barbaric, illiterate Middle East to be tortured to death. But we keep on suffering and dying and evil continues to persist. It seems, even though the ransom was paid, it wasn't effective or good enough. Theodicy is an issue all Christians need to deal with at some point.
There are many people who have lived their whole lives without ever knowing of Jesus. There will always be people like this. To judge and punish someone because they weren't born into Christianity or that they reject it because it's claims do not hold up to scrutiny is ludicrous. But this is exactly what has been done for thousands of years.

There are not enough JWs in the world to preach to everyone. The math just doesn't add up. There are always going to be remote, indigenous people that none of these supposed 'life saving messages' ever reach. Their work is rather pointless when one looks at it from this angle.
what can i add?

I actually had a discussion with my Dad (who was an MS) back in 2009-2010 about known pedophiles in the congregation being allowed to remain JWs and go door-to-door.
In my province of Ontario, Canada, a child as young as 10 years old can be left alone at home legally for about 1 to 2 hours as long as they are mature enough to handle it. This means children will be alone at home and these predators are going to knock.
My Dad had no response to this. I don't think he had thought of it either but I could tell he was disturbed by it.
from a report in today's canberra times:.
apparently, at one stage in his interrogation elder dino ali must have explained the following.. "mr ali told the commission he did not believe church law replaced secular law and said the organisation worked with legal authorities.".

Yes it is good advice to be cautious what you post online especially if you are still 'in' and don't want to lose family.
