  just by looking at this image we can see how quickly the barrier between the congregation and former member is put up, after the announcement that this sister is no longer one of jehovah's witneses.

  "theism" here means "belief in a god" or "the worldview that an intelligent designer created the universe and life.

  " ("god" here means a being with a mind who initiated and/or wound-up the universe, and designed life on earth)the most common claim that i see atheists making on twitter, is that "no evidence" exists in support of belief in a god.this post will remove any excuse atheists have for claiming "no evidence exists" in support of an initiator.

  atheists can still reject this evidence as "weak," but they cannot truthfully say it does not exist.now, it is true that we do not have "observable, repeatable, falsifiable, empirical, scientific" evidence conclusively proving that an initiator exists, but we do have many lines of philisophical, experiential, and logical evidence.and... here... we... go:1:) many leading scientists, including stephen hawking, say that the space-time-matter universe had a beginning at the singularity/big bang.

  Ok, so I'm taking it here you are speaking of the Greek god "Zeus" then.

  The presiding deity of the universe, ruler of the skies and the earth, Zeus was regarded by the Greeks as
  the god of all natural phenomena on the sky; the personification of the laws of nature; the ruler of the state;
  and finally, the father of gods and men.
  
  Using his shield, the Aegis, Zeus could create all natural phenomena related to the air and the sky, such as
  storms, tempests, and intense darkness. At his command, mighty thunders would flash and lightnings
  would roll, wreaking havoc; or the skies would open to rejuvenate the earth with life-giving water.
  
  As the personification of the operations of nature, he represented the grand laws of unchanging and harmonious order, by which both the natural and the spiritual world were governed. He was the god of
  regulated time as marked by the changing seasons and the regular succession of day and night, in

  Zeus is also called Jupiter, Dias.

  He overthrew his father, Cronus, and then drew lots with his brothers Poseidon and Hades, in order to
  decide who would succeed their father on the throne. Zeus won the draw and became the supreme ruler of
  the gods, as well as lord of the sky and rain. His weapon was a thunderbolt which he hurled at those who
  displeased or defied him, especially liars and oathbreakers. He was married to Hera but often tested her

  Jehovah's WItnesses do not know the Bible. Their role is to recruit people into the Borg.

  They are not interested in talking to people about the Bible. They want to talk to people who know nothing about the Bible so they can convince these people that Botchtower's interpretation of the Bible is the one True message and that they are the one True religion speaking for the one True God.

  Paraplegic JW example used at assemblies

  it seems like every time our circuit failed to meet the field service goals set by our co, the very next circuit assembly would invariably include a talk that mentions a chronically ill paraplegic sister who would dial the phone with her tongue to make return visits or conduct bible studies... i must have heard this experience at least 6 or 7 times in the past 20 years or so.

  and every time i heard this recycled talk, they would add even more guilt-inducing twists to it.

  to me, it eventually became way to difficult to believe...

  Cart Witnessing - Thrilling! Productive! Epic! Er.....um, well, not so much.....

  talked with a pioneer recently, she was recounting her first experience with cart witnessing.. she brought the subject up, was going on & on & on & on about how wonderful the experience was, and how great, and how she enjoyed it so much, and it was so wonderful, and oh jehovah's blessing, and on and on and on...... a few questions to her revealed what really happened:.

  -- a jw who owns a small restaurant in a strip mall allows jws to set up their cart outside his restaurant.

  -- the restaurant is tucked pretty far out of the way, not prominent at all.

  dear mr. morris,.

  i am writing this letter to request that you have an immediate meeting with jehovah regarding the tight pants, spanx (i think you mean spandex) issues.

  it it clear from your pants rant that jehovah has focused his attention away from the billions of people currently suffering on the planet to address this specific issue.. today i observed a group of witnesses in my neighborhood.

  Does Bruce Jenner (Caitlyn) qualify for Baptism?

  im not sure if bruce had a sex operation but lets say someone did have a sex operation and then studied with the witnesses and wanted to get baptized, would he qualify in todays jw world?

  could he have privileges?

  the bible says the past cant be held against you, once you accept the truth.
