im not sure if bruce had a sex operation but lets say someone did have a sex operation and then studied with the witnesses and wanted to get baptized, would he qualify in todays jw world?

I was never baptized into this religion.
While the religion caused a lot of damage and destruction within our family, my parents never stopped associating with us.

talked with a pioneer recently, she was recounting her first experience with cart witnessing.. she brought the subject up, was going on & on & on & on about how wonderful the experience was, and how great, and how she enjoyed it so much, and it was so wonderful, and oh jehovah's blessing, and on and on and on...... a few questions to her revealed what really happened:.
-- a jw who owns a small restaurant in a strip mall allows jws to set up their cart outside his restaurant.
-- the restaurant is tucked pretty far out of the way, not prominent at all.

It is interesting that Botchtower, who believe so much in the spirit world, decide that what is physically presented in the form of the human body is the actual truth.
Transgender people are born in the wrong body. So really, the lie would be for Bruce to remain Bruce and NOT become Caitlyn.

i wasn't alive for this but my parents and many old timers told me that at one point it was pretty much a rule that you couldn't go to college.
some of you may remember that from that time.
over time they relaxed that rule to that you did what you had to do in order to provide for yourself.
I think bashing higher education is a constant with this religion/cult especially when/if they perceive it to be affecting their membership numbers.
When I was a teenager, higher education was frowned upon. My younger bro and I were planning on heading to College in the early 1980s, despite Mom's attempts at persuading us that we didn't need it because the Big 'A' was so close. That was over 5 years AFTER Armageddon's failure to arrive in 1975.

i'd like to read a book, or other material that does the best job logically arguing for atheism.. i've not read any darwin, however it is my assumption that his focus is primarily on evolution, is this correct?
if you were to recommend one book or a few pieces of reading material, which do the best job of defending atheism, what would they be?.

Religion maneuvers it's members through the Bible. How many Christians have actually read their Bible from cover to cover? Getting educated on what is actually in the Bible can also awaken a sleeping mind. Once you become familiar with scripture that is not so nice, you begin to form doubts.

Christopher Hitchens is an excellent source of information on the subject of Religion and belief in god. He has many awesome quotes. Here are a few:

Higher education is the reason my parents used to give their JW cronies when these people would ask my parents if I was baptized.
The funny thing is.... my parents never asked me why I would not get baptized. Hmmmm....
