Let's hear some crazy/cool stories!
by amama2six inmy husband reminded me of something crazy we did when we first started dating, so i thought i'd share it here and see if anyone else has some fun stories to add!.
we went out to dinner one night...me in a nice dress and him in a dress shirt and slacks.

We went out to dinner one night...me in a nice dress and him in a dress shirt and slacks. Afterward we decided to hit the beach for a nice moonlit walk in the sand. We come up to the gate and notice there's still someone in the shack where they normally take payment until 6pm...but it was around 9pm. We drive up and the guy says "Are you with the party?" to which my husband responds "Yes!" without thinking. We are let through and suddenly our eyes focus on the cars in the parking lot. ALL POLICE VEHICLES! Now we're wondering what's going on and what we just inadvertently claimed to be a part of. Of course, that didn't stop us from getting out of the car to see...we walk up to the beach restaurant/bar and see there's a huge party going on for a bunch of the local police precincts! The place is crawling with officers and their spouses, complete with free food and alcoholic beverages for all. Don't ask me why we didn't hightail it out of there at that point, but we didn't. Instead we stayed, drank, and chatted it up with the po-po. After around three hours of partying we said our goodbyes and left...nobody questioned why we were there or caught on that we weren't SUPPOSED to be there the whole time! We laughed about that for a long time afterward...

TELL US 3 THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF; ONE THEM A LIE
by Terry inthere is a training program in the c.i.a.
and f.b.i.. you tell an interrogator 3 things about yourself.
one them has to be a lie.. if they can tell which statement is the lie, you flunk.. .

Thanks! I would still be in if it weren't for the fact that in the middle of my third set of classes (which would have brought me up to 18 credits) I lost my internet access. Darn bills exceeding our income! At first I tried to continue by going to the library but my husband was deployed and I either had to bring all my kids with me or pay someone to watch them. Bringing six kids to the library was insane and I couldn't get any work done...and I couldn't afford a babysitter either. SO...I let my attendance slip so that I wouldn't actually get credit for finishing the classes (with failing grades from so much unfinished work). Instead they will need to be taken over again...hopefully with my GPA intact (3.75).

Nope, Caliber...I actually do have 12 college credits from some online courses I took (trying to get my associates in psychology)! I'm not taking any classes at the moment but hope to continue when the kids get a little older.

Why Can't People Just Show Appreciation For This Place???
by minimus ini've been reading a few pages of threads from saturday until today and i can't understand why some,(actually very few) try to damage this site.
this is one of a handful of (ex)jw sites that really helps people get out of the organization.
the interaction that we have here shows anyone how we can leave the so- called "truth" and enjoy life!

I had three of my kids (the girls) sleeping in the living room right behind where I was on the computer. I immediately whipped around to make sure they were, indeed, all asleep. Thankfully, they were!

I am an active JW
I served as an elder for 9 years
I have never over estimated my field service time by a figure of more than 10 hours
I'll go with number 2 being the lie (not about being an Elder, but the number of years?).

I was born a JW.
I was a virgin until marriage.
I read all of the Twilight books.
Ummm...I'll go with number one...raised in, but not BORN in maybe? I'm so bad at doing this. LOL
