  according to rem only "ignorant people" disagree that our grandparents are fish!

  and then the fish prodeced amphibians (like frogs) which later turned into people (like Prince William). Who says a frog can't become a prince! Its soooo scientific . . . its a proven fact you know . . . not to be doubted . . . no faith necessary . . . all smart people know its true . . . wacth out for apostate scientists who don't believe anymore . . . don't read what they say . . . their biased .. . they aren't real scientists even though they may have multiple doctorates . . . I know we'll call them "scientists"

  I think that you have adequately admitted that you came from fish. . . . well on second thought I wish that you would please acknowledge that the "fish-like" creatures were indeed ancient fish. I simple statement such as "I am rem, I came from ancient fish" would satisfy me.

  rem, I know that evolution supposedly happens in branches and not necessarily direct lines. I also know that when an evolutionist looks at a specific fossil that he probably wouldn't claim dogmatically that that specific fossil was for sure on the way to becoming human. However evolutionists have in fact pointed to certain types of ancient fish as being on the line which led to humanity. The point is is that evolution does teach that our grandparents were fish. The primitive fish-like creatures that you mentioned would infact be classified as fish, albeit extinct fish. But extinct fish are fish and this is what evolution teaches that we came from. Do you personally believe that you decended from ancient fish?

  You mention my "serious lack of knowledge on varves and deposition/erosion processes" yet I don't believe I have even discussed them here.

  You earlier stated that I was "clearly misrepresenting" the facts on Carbon dating yet you still provide no evidence or example of these misrepresentations.

  Please stop making accusations without providing specifics.

  since i have stopped attending the meetings, i have had a loss of faith in god.

  i consider myself an agnostic teetering on being a full blown atheist.

  while in school this last semester i have been taking courses that emphasize evolution.

  Yes, I beileve I can prove that the Earth is young, that humans did not evolve, and that God is real. I speak from personal experience and scientific research. If you are really sincere I will put forth the time.

  Yes to become a member of the Creation Research Society, you must agree with the statement of beliefs. In fact to become a member of most societies you must agree with their statement of beliefs. For example if you had a "Physicians for a Vegitarian Diet" society, you would to join have to be a physician who subscribes to a vegitarian diet. This however would not mean that your views aren't valid. We could form a group called the "The Watchtower is A False Prophet Society" Membership would be composed of those who have studied the history of the WTBTS and have come to the conclusion that the WT is indeed a false prophet. This would be a "biased" society, however our views would still be vaild. In the same way just because the CRS has a belief statement doesn't invalidate their views, Just as "Evolutionary Societies" views aren't invalidated by their members being required to believe in macro-evolution. Many of the members of the CRS used to be evolutionists, but based on a personal re-evaluation of the data they come to believe that creation is more scientifically accurate, thus they joined the CRS.

  No rem, its not an actual quote, however it is factually accurate in that that evolutionists do believe that we came from extinct fish. Some might argue that we only share a "common ancestor" with the fish, however this common ancestor was itself a fish. These fish supposedly evolved into amphibians, then reptiles, then mammals, finally culminating in beautiful people like Cindy Crawford. Yes, evolution teaches that our great grandmother was in fact a fish, as fish are portrayed as being on the evolutionary path culminating in man. Evolutionary professors have in fact pointed to certain types of extinct fish fossils as being direct ancestors in the pathway leading to man, hense our grandparents.
