Yes, Chrystal I have faith. I believe that God is from everlasting (Psalm 90:2; Psalm 93:2 KJV:ASV) and that Christ is from everlasting (Proverbs 8:23; Micah 5:2 KJV;ASV). Do you have faith in this?

Do you have faith
by Crystal increation of god a matter of faith jim dail .
for the californian .
christian-based religions all share at least one core belief: god is the creator and he sent his only son to earth to die on the cross for the sins of man.

Annointed
by Lieu ini was looking over rev chpt 6 .... and have always wondered how wt articles could say gb members recieved their heavenly reward when absolutely none of them had met a violent death upholding the name of christ.
as a matter of fact, gb members have had a pretty easy if not extremely comfortable life without physical persecution (they always let the rank and file be the ones killed).
they basically have existed like hermits.. anyway, the verse that catches my eye is 11 where it states for the holy ones to rest a while longer until the number was filled also of their fellow slaves and their brothers who were about to be killed as they also had been.. just curious because all the true christians (those who would not change their faith in god and christ) died by violence, throughout the ages.

While Christians who die a viollent death are rewarded, I think that others who are saved by grace also go to heaven. Your point is a good one though. When it comes to the book of Revelation the Watchtower Society goes absolutely nuts. They will probably say in a future Revelation "commentary" that Revelation chapter 6 refers to a regional Watchtower convention or some sort of crap like that.

Erasmus & the 'Textus Receptus'
by Earnest inthis isnt really so much about erasmus and the "received text" as about how our nature is to cling to what we have accepted as true despite evidence to the contrary, especially when it comes to what we believe is inspired.
towards the end of the fourth century, when jerome revised the old latin version, he wrote in the preface to the gospels : "is there a man, learned or unlearned, who will not, when he takes the volume in his hands, and perceives that what he reads does not suit his settled tastes, break out immediately into violent language and call me a forger and a profane person for having had the audacity to add anything to the ancient books, or to make any changes or corrections therein?
" and so it was and has continued to be.

The AV (King James) Bible was a new translation. The preface to most AV Bibles usually says: "Translated out of the original tongues" The translators however compared their work with those of previous translators and where the two were close continued to use the previous translators phraseology to maintain continuity. That is why the preface also states something like (I don't have a copy handy) "With the former translations diligently compared"
While the greek manuscripts used as the text for the AV were relatively recent, they are representative of the vast majority of greek manuscripts extant. Also AV readings have ancient evidence in the form of church father citations and ancient versions.
The NWT is of course an inconsistent sham which can be objectively proven by the use of a concordance.

Witnessinc.com has a book refuting the "preparing for child custody" book. I believe the author Duane Magnani specializes as a legal consultant on JW child custody matters.

The Watchtower also promises your parents a "resurrection" from the dead. But according to Watchtower teachings and doctrine their body NEVER will rise from the dead, but will ROTT in the GRAVE forever. Many JWs don't realize that the Watchtower teaching of the earthly resurrection is that the original body ROTTS in the GRAVE forever and that Jehovah simply makes a clone, copy, ect. from scratch, a being which has NEVER lived to take the faithful witnesses place! The Bible teaches different (Isaiah 26:19; John 5). It may work to tell your parents your concern that they will NEVER be resurrected according to Watchtower teachings and that they should go to Jesus for eternal life (John 6:67-69).

The Watchtower used to mis-define and use the term "religion" in a similar negative way as "Christendom."
Now the term "religion" is used in a more correct sense by the Watchtower as being belief systems both true and false. Who knows maybe someday they will change their definition of "christendom" as well, but I doubt it! Its now a great mind contol term.

JW's using apostate literature?
by SammyJoUK inok, hi and firstly if you get to see this more than once i apologise, but then i don't have a lot of choice, i need help quickly if possible.. i have a friend that i have been witnessing to for the past 6 years.. she has been in the witnesses for 25 years and yet god is moving.
an example of this, and it is by no means the best one, is that this week she put through my door two christian tracts that had been put together by sgm international ( http://www.infocomp.torun.pl/sgm/ ) .
the ones she gave me where not ones containing doctrinal issues, but basic gospel ones.. .

The tracts that you referred to may not have been written by an ex-JW, hense not "apostate literature."
But if they are why mess up a good thing? As long as the tracts are Biblical why not encourage her to read them. Showing her that they are possibly "forbidden" may cause her to not look at them anymore.

You Know,
I have a question.
If when you open your August 15, 2002 Watchtower, You see an arcticle entitled "New Light on Christ's Resurrection" which argues based on new understanding of the scriptures that Christ's body rose from the dead and was not "disposed of" would you believe it?
