I am not BIG into any holiday. I usually just buy for my son on Christmas. My sis on the other hand goes ALL out! For any holiday, even Father's day (for my step-dad), she threw a party with a cake and everything.

Since I lost my job, I will have to wait a little while before the shopping gets done.

I don't understand the reason or need to "take sides".

I know those of you who feel strongly about the topic, but pointing fingers and arguing has accomplished nothing.

I am very involved with silentlambs as most of you know. I have also read Ray's book.

Why can't we just respect what both men are doing, and remember that noone is perfect and we will say or do things---and no matter what SOMEONE will not agree with what we say or do.

I mean really---what is all this "back and forth" going to accomplish???

If their is a final answer, or a goal here---then I am missing it.

Both men are doing what they believe in, I respect them both for that.

hl and i are for a week, we're going to madeira again and this time we are walkin' the levada's!.

here's where were going, its a portuguese territory a few hundred miles off the coast of west africa:.

tomorrow morning we head for cardiff airport, it's a slight worry as the severn bridge is closed today because of high winds, if it stays closed we have an extra 100 miles to drive around via the m50.. see ya in about a week!.

A Very Touching Saga

as most of you know, i served in vietnam and belong to a group of veterans comprised of men that served either in my unit or sister units of the 7/17th air cavalry.

tonight, as has happened many times, one of my "brothers" posted a special memory and i am going to share that memory of his with you.

the reason i am posting it here is to show that although many of us may argue about world events and can at times be bitterly divided, we who have been there do not support military action lightly.
