Of course there is a key case that I really don't want to mention and go there right now because I am really busy to comment more!!!

I suggest you read the cases over though and you will may see the manipulation even coming out in the court cases.

I am far from the "right" and thanks for the "ad hominem".

I have also followed McCain much further than you probably have and I know how he thinks.

He almost won the "ticket" the last time and his "message" was popular. BTW he got vast support not from the parties BUT from the - independents. What cost him was he started way too late in the game. What helped him was the media and Bush's lack of debating skills - something he got from his dad. What killed him - South Carolina and hacking up the "base" that even I hate - the Gerry Fawell(sp?) dudes.

The "keating 5" was disgusting but it absolutely does not disqualify him from being the POTUS just like the incident with Teddy does not disqualify him. In fact I would urge him to run again if I could. But it is as they say a liability that either party would use against him.

ummm.... Aren't some islands in Alaska within a few hundred or so miles of Russia????

Anyway - I say "Uncle". You have an excellent view. Your thinking and that is great. And I am proud you have your views. I will tell you that I respect them.

Don't give up your independence, Julie, and fight for what you believe in. I apologize if I have offened you in anyway. You actually make me quite proud.

Well Julie and Englishman,

I have read these posts a few times now and, well ... what can I say.

Just to let you know there Julie, McCain was one of the "Keating Five" involved in that little savings and loan scandel. But don't worry, you know what you are talking about.

BTW Julie, I know this may be hard for you to believe but I know a lot of politians who do give a sh_t.

Englishman, I think there is another reason why you don't rate him high and I don't really care.

Commie Chris is just about right with the political angle. But I should add Chris, Gore would have done the same and blamed the republicans for the mess becuase he knew what the votes were like in the senate and he also knew what the economy was up to last year and this.

One thing Chris, believe it or not but Republicans are for big government - but they want to enforce things they want enforced such as banning abortions, more defence spending and other things. Of course then on the other spectrum, we have socialists who want the government to do everything and in some cases that can be a problem too.

Calm down before Dateline

i'm just like everyone else here when it comes to the upcoming dateline nbc segment.

i am really anxious to hear in advance what is going to be said and i sincerely hope that not only will it help the "silent lamb" victims but that it will also reach at least a few hearts in the witnesses.. but i've been seeing constant references to it lately and i get the idea that some of us may have too high of hopes.. by no means do i mean to try to discourage silentlambs, i think sl will understand and agree with what i am saying here.. my friends, please remember that this will be a situation of 20 minutes or so of airtime by "worldly" media going against lifetimes of teachings by an old and highly skilled powerful worldwide organization.. one reporter from nbc will have approximately 20 minutes to present a very complicated issue with interviews and narration and some minutes will be sacrificed for commercials.

even if nbc decided to devote an entire dateline episode to the topic, it would still leave only a scant amount of time to try and deliver such a weighty story.

The dateline show has nothing to do with the R & F. Most R & F will do the usual and after a little cognitive dissonance - bury this behind the wall. Maybe 10 to 20 perecnt of them might freak out but I doubt it.

But what this show (and it is going to happen) will do is air the dirty laundry in the public. Corporations hate that. This is where they recruit from and where they can make more money. And if they don't have new recruits then they lose members and if their magazines aren't selling, well then they lose more money.

If the show is done properly it will also wake up others in the media to do stories and the public who thinks this is just a innocent little religious group. That's the key. As much as the WT likes to talk up the persecution angle they really don't want it out in the public what they are up too.

The show will also let other people who have been abused become alerted to the fact that there are others out there. These people will be told through this show that it is not your fault to be abused and here is who you can contact if you need help.

And of course I don't have to go with other issues that could hurt a certain corporation's pocketbook.

If this story gets "legs", as they say in the press, then look out. Just ask the Anglican and Catholic churches in Canada about a story of pedophila that gets "legs".

Do you even have a clue what you are talking about here? Please answer Amasing's questions. You should keep in mind that I know a lot more about the "environmental issues" of the day than I let on. So please answer Amasing's questions. Just think of the senate and how dead that treaty was in the senate. I just don't think you have a clue about politics is played out either. I would suggest you learn it.

Oh, please keep in mind too, that the guy with the pointy hat didn't get what he wanted out of Bush. That is an out right ban on federal funds on stem cell research. All Bush said was that he would listen. Even Chris Reeve (a former Superman) noted that one.

There are checks and balances in the USA. May it be the press, the democratic party, or the courts. Bush doesn't walk around waving a big stick.

dedalus - your crack about the American election isn't really that amusing too me. It was a very very close election and both sides did their thing through the courts to get their man in. The key to this is to remember that there were rules done ahead of time and the players and a majority of the American people in the "REPUBLIC" agreed to the rules. Also Remember this - there was a change of power without a single "shot" fired. Something you wouldn't understand unless you actually understood history.

Child Blood Molestation (CBM)! My god, the WTS admits to it! They even posted faces of children killed as a result of this blood molestation! Not their finest hour.

Molestation and this blood policy do have one thing in common.

CONTROL!!!

As I have said elsewhere (I think "waiting" only picked up on it) these pedophiles do it, not for the sex, but for the CONTROL!!

Now here we have a blood policy that is enforced by the fear of shunning, fear of disassociation if you take it, fear of disfellowship if your kid takes it, fear of loss of God and fear of getting killed at the end. So you are taught through fear that you should let your child needlessly die. I say, IMNSHO, that this is a group of men controlling the outcome of the death of a child who cannot protect itself.
