after the conti verdict last week, the list of high crimes committed by the witness organization led by its governing body just gets longer and longer.
in addition to harboring, protecting and even legally defending child molesters, the governing body is also guilty of being defacto false prophets, stumblers of "little ones," blasphers of god with their "jehovah hates everyone but us" teachings, causers of division between brothers with their shunning policy, among myriad other actions that have turned people against god.
so, who in the bible represents the governing body?
In a sense they are apostates to true bible interpretation and understanding, more importantly they are false prophets
who've exploited the public belief in the bible for their own power and control over people as well to procure money.
A commercialized false prophet, built upon a publishing house.
And the bible makes it clear how to treat false prophets who use god's name.

what watchtower has gotten wrong isn't just their 2 witness rule.
it goes much deeper into other failures of jw dogma that has allowed this injustice and others to flourish in their organization.
If the WTS. was smart now they would learn that child abuse or pedophilia is not just a simple sin like fornication or adultery, where all to
be done is wag a finger at a person and quote a couple of scriptures.
Its much worse and that is the reason why in are modern society its considered a grievous crime, worthy of severe punishment.
The WTS. could actually gain public support by issuing a doctrinal mandate that states that all possible occurrences of pedophilia are to be brought
forward to the local legal authorities, irregardless if the accused denies any wrong doing. This way they would clean their hands of any
involvement of hiding these people within their ranks.
Quite frankly with all the media and public attention concerning this crime in recent years, if a person was to commit this crime,
it would blatantly obvious that he or she would be intensionally hiding behind the two witness rule.
The policy set by the WTS. that all of their devoted members shouldn't bring reproach upon god's earthly organization, is one that was followed for
decades and alot of people were victimized and hurt without the perpetrators being justifiably punished as a result this doctrinal policy.
Will the WTS. wake up or will they try to continue to protect its outward public image by continuing on the same path, time will
only tell. Now that some very open media attention has occurred of the organization trying to cover over or do little
about these kind of problems within their organization, they may finally make some direct policy changes.

the reason the no long hair and no beards and curtailing exactly how people are to dress in public.
This has been done with intension to make the organization appear pure and righteous as possible, the no beards policy is just a part of this .
Other Christian based religions forbid their male members to shave their beards, as it would be disrespectful to god and his creation.

i've been giving some thought to the recent development in which the judge has ruled that the society is barred from completing any property transactions until the appeal is over, which could take up to two years or even more.. i've submitted an article to randy at freeminds in which i basically argue that it is no longer in the society's interests to appeal this case.
if i correctly understand the restrictions placed on the society by the judge, then the governing body has far more to lose by appealing than they could conceivably gain.. think about it.... by appealing, they buy themselves time in which to formulate a long-term strategy for dealing with the fallout of this case, but will be barred from liquidating $1 billion in property assets at a time of global economic uncertainty when their donations are dwindling.
there is also no guarantee that their appeal will be upheld.by dropping their appeal, they take a hit and pay $23.8 million but retain the freedom to see through their real estate projects; retain their financial flexibility to respond to dwindling donations, and get to pretend to their followers (as with the un scandal) that it never happened.of course, i am only saying that dropping the appeal would be the only intelligent option for the society, assuming they are aware of how legally precarious their child abuse policies are.

People sometimes under estimate how much wealth the WTS. has, for example the Canadian branch posted a financial surplus of between 60
and 70 million . Same too for the UK branch, so if these smaller countries have that much money on hand, how much does the Headquarters

Another very good possibility is that like the other child abuse cases in California, the WTS paid a out of court settlement with a gag policy
toward the victims. Could this case go in the same direction ?

I think they will wait out at least one appeal for the sake of their self image and possibly further cases coming up that could also get media
attention and cost them, the money is not the real issue here. If you think about how many more legal cases could be created because
of this one judgment, into the future. Theoretically their established public image has much more value to them than any amount of money.
