  Skirts and trousers (pants if you're in the US)

  just what is it that the watchtower thinks is so much more modest and respectful to jehovah about wearing a skirt instead of trousers?

  that is, unless you live in a culture that has trousers as the norm for women, as in india.. something today brought this to my mind.

  i can't even remember what it was, but it led to thinking again about this.

  As far as what the WTS. says about pants for woman is that if woman were to wear pants, its intensionally making them look manly,

  which could incite homosexual thoughts by other woman.

  The WTS leaders have always been a bit stupid and ignorant on many things.

  Is it because they are trying to emulate the social moral standards of the ancient Hebrews which existed thousands of years ago ?

  There are other so called Christian based religions who even have more stricter rules upon what how woman are to dress.

  The other interesting thing is that I never heard of a JW woman being counseled for wearing pants outside

  of the Kingdom Hall.

  i definitely support science, i think that the entire field is fascinating.

  the things that have been discovered and that will be discovered in the future is mind-boggling.

  i do wonder, however, if there is some things that science can't explain.

  If one throughly studies where spiritualism originated, it becomes clear that it was a result of human ignorance of the world we live,

  here on earth as well in outer space, as it still does to this day.

  how about getting AC360 to do an expose about JW's? he did a great job of dissecting the Mormons and Scientologists ?

  Thats a great idea in spite of the recent court case in California.

  At the same time the topic can include how the JWS shun their own family members who decide to leave the religion,

  similar to the Mormons and Scientologists.

  If you follow the JW religion there is only 144,000 who go to heaven to be with god, the rest who are deemed worthy live on earth

  for a thousand years in paradise.

  Personally for me I'd chose the earthly paradise, there not much to know about heaven and what its like there.

  on page 171 of the "learn from the great teacher" book published in 2003 it shows a picture of a very cute little girl holding a ragged ann doll.

  she is sitting on a chair in her bedroom with her hand out toward a man that is coming toward her.. the paragraphs say "so just as jesus needed protection, you also need to be protected from grown-ups-and even from other children-who may try to have sex with you.

  usually, these people will pretend to be your friends.

  Basically I refuse to believe that the Wt land is a pedophile paradise, good people such as my parents and many many others would not be part of it, even if there was a whiff of JW policies encouraging abuse.

  I don't think there is huge pedophile problem inside the JW organization, comparatively from any other religion of its size.

  What is disturbing though is how these situations were handled when they did happen..

  Some weren't investigated properly by outside sources, many were handled like situations of adultery or fornication

  and some were simply left without any punishment because of the two witness rule or being simply denied by the accused.

  And probably the most damaging aspect was that these cases were not brought forward to outside legal authorities because of elders not

  wanting bring reproach upon god's solemnly chosen earthly organization, instituted accordingly by the leadership of the organization.

  Today they are getting legally kicked in the ass for just doing that.

  Whats was so wrong with their already in place money cultivating procedures, most of their larger branches like in the US, Canada, UK

  have posted huge million dollar surpluses ?

  Add the addition of the organization selling off many branches abroad . $$$

  Sure looks like the organization is objectively trying to get the most money they can and close the Watchtower doors for good,

  perhaps morphing into another religion complete with new doctrines, a new identity and format.

  How do I hear/feel God?

  this is a serious question.. i know people that hear/feel god (and see postings about people's experiences), but i have not experienced this.

  i have never heard anything audibly (or otherwise) nor "felt" anything inwardly.. i've prayed, read, quieted my thoughts, etc...but still nothing..
