i'm hearing rumours of huge changes within the berkshire circuit here in the uk .

congregations being dispanded and kingdom halls closing down and being sold off.... official announcements within the next month apparently .

does anyone else have anymore info?.

i was watching this vid, and realized that one reason i love this movie, is that it could be one metaphor for my life.

i took the lead, did it my way, and have had one helluva lot of fun on the journey.

Landy $2 billion maybe more in property sales from Brooklyn and branches sold off worldwide yet they are still begging for money and there hasn't been any clarity or transparency at all where this cash has gone and peoples suppositions are baseless? it's not their money it has been donated by the R&F for over a 100 years! I'd want to know where the money has gone.

I would have thought the current board of non anointed members of the WB&T Society of Pennsylvania are very much a front again still for the financiers and legal team that are pulling the strings, Adams is almost 90, he is hardly going to be much of a proactive role in leadership, Malenfant and Wallen were long time members of the writing committee, I dont know much about the other three at all.

Goldman Sachs must pulling a lot of strings, maybe a few other faceless groups have been advising them with their property deals and business model , for years they wouldn't budge of how ineffective and expensive their so called free labour was, and look what has happened over the last few years? wholesale lay offs and a massive property sell off, they would have still been stuck in the Knorr'esq time warp had they not been advised to change.

Feeling Betrayed?

this is the way many of us feel no doubt: feeling like we have been betrayed by a faith that has hidden so much from its believers, and covered up some serious past and present teachings and practices.. and yet, we are the ones treated with disdain, contempt or suspicion due to fading from activity!.

simply amazing that we have had to make a conscious decision to stand up for what is right and not be a part of the organisation for genuine and sincere reasons.

and yet they slander us, malign us and make us look like the ones with the problem!.

I'm not too sure weather I felt betrayed really, I felt duped,conned and thought that I was stupid investing so much time,effort and emotion into it but the feeling of euphoria when I learnt TTATT made me put those feelings behind me, there are many victims of these kind of cults,investment scams etc, I try not to dwell on it so much now and the reward in helping others is much better.

Alex Anonymous ; the problem is asking "an experienced Jehovahs witness " as you put it or going down to a local kingdom hall and making enquires is likely to be to me met with blatant denials or lies , this very forum published the Australian Royal Commission hearing into your child abuse cover up scandal that go back decades, ask the average R&F jw and they will have no clue whatsoever about it, likewise with your United Nations membership and cover up which you denied and lied about also, it was only when a respected British newspaper covered the story did you start to hear about it , no mentions whatsoever on jwdotorg, thats why blogs/forums and social media platforms are much more effective in finding out about the many skeletons you have in your closets, you really are that dishonest, stick around on here you may learn a lot about them. Countless failed prophecies, flip flops in doctrine, abuse by your own Governing Body members, investment in stock producing military hardware, double standards and hypocrisy in your treatment of your own brothers in Malawi etc will not be found on your website, nada,zero,zilch!

Wt "study" Participation, is it a "True Believer" Indication?-- or not?

in our congregation, the elders rarely comment.

the majority rarely comment, 2 sisters, vehemently, and often comment.

since in their case, it can not possibly be" teaching in the congregation", is participation in the wt "study"in general an affirmation of faith?

most of the elders regularly commented, around 2 or 3 hardcore sisters also, our hall was particularly bad though there was a large group that never ever commented, the reason was the main body of elders were brought in from other congs as the old body of elders were all removed so they were a mixture of reg pioneers,and ex CO, elders used on CA's so were categorised as kind of "hot shot" elders, sadly one of those elders committed suicide.Towards the end of my time there I couldn't comment even if I wanted to as my hand would not be accepted, I was marked!
