Day of the Triffids!!!!! Two thoughts:
1) never use that movie title because it dates you chronologically and/or mentally
2) it was a scary docu-drama (lol)
I'm gonna go get my watering can ready...just in case...(still lol)

I've had enough of this place
by Psychotic Parrot ini hate the watchtower.
and the governing body are the lowest lifeforms ever to crawl out of the devil's anus.
but the world really is no better & neither are ex-jdubs, despite their character building experience.. the watchtower and all other religions are pointless scumbag rackets.

To Psychotic Parrot: Never do anything permanent to yourself or others on the basis of your unhappy emotions!!!! Take a deep breath, call your best friend, go meet for your favorite comfort food, and make an appointment with your family doctor.
None of those are long-lasting fixes, but they help get us over the worst of our slumps.
Deep down such emotions almost always come from an unfulfilled spiritual search. No, I can't prove it and won't try. I am not advocating jumping into another error-plagued hierarchically-organized religion, but there is great comfort in turning to the Jesus who created you. He heals, forgives, and protects, and we don't have to lift one finger or knock on one door to be given those spiritual gifts.
Again, call a friend, talk to your family doctor, call on Jesus, don't do anything rashly...
Praying for you.

Your Opinion Please: Do GB members believe what they say?
by EverAStudent inin your own opinion: do the governing board members believe their own prophecies, stories, and articles?
.
do you think they are true believers in the core religion or fakers simply behaving as profiteers?.

Thanks for those opinions!
A follow-up question: Do each / all of the GB members receive instructions (revelations / prophecies) from the inivisible Jesus?

How much was Christ's ransom sacrifice? Equal to Adam?
by jonathan dough inhow much was the ransom?
gods justice did not require an exact equivalent man-for-man sacrifice between the first adam and jesus, the second adam.
gods gift required more.

To all who posted that Jesus' sacrifice pays entirely for Adam's one sin, and for nothing more, I need help--if you could provide a few clarifying answers to some questions:
- if Jesus' sacrifice covered only Adam's one garden sin, how did Adam's other sins get "paid for"?
- if Jesus' sacrifice covered only Adam's one garden sin, how do all my present sins get "paid for"?
- if everyone's sins were entirely covered by Jesus' sacrifice for Adam's one garden sin, why does God not count us all as perfect and so give everyone an automatic place in eternity?
- is JW / WTS salvation something different than getting one's sins "paid for" by Christ and being declared "righteous" by God?
Thanks for helping.

With all due respect, AGuest, there is nothing simple about what you just said, in fact, I found it all but incomprehensible.
The biblical gospel is simple, though not simplistic: Jesus was God, took on human form, lived a perfect life, died as the perfect sacrifice for the sin of everyone who believes, resurrected from the dead, and now reigns over all--any who believe this gospel and call upon Jesus to forgive them will be saved from all their sins, forever.

So, if Adam was the only one redeemed by Jesus' sacrifice, and Jesus' sacrifice was insufficient to save him from his sins, then according to WTS dogma, Jesus' sacrifice saves no one. That means that everyone is left to try to get saved based on their own merits, goodness, and effort.
How very sad to believe that way. How very terrifying when one knows the depths of sin in one's own heart.

Well now guys, you have totally confused me regarding WTS dogma.
If Adam was redeemed (and the ONLY one redeemed) by Jesus' sacrifice, then why does the WTS say that Adam is still so guilty of his sin (guilty of the unforgiveable sin in fact) that he cannot and will not be resurrected when the rest of humanity is (according to the WTS' Insight on the Scripture)?
