In googling this death- it's stating that Emerson died of a self inflicted gunshot ! Looks like a suicide. So terribly sad. I'm interested to know what the back story is on this. This sucks horribly -

Oh my god ! Keith Emerson dead also ? WTF is happening to all of our rock legends ? Who the hell is next on the list ? Bowie, Glenn Frey, Keith Emerson , then who ?
I really enjoyed listening to Emerson, Lake, and Palmer as a teenager. I still have several of their CD's. Kind of a harder edge Moody Blues sound mixing classical, blues, and rock sounds together. They termed it " progressive " rock I believe at the time in the 1970's. I think the album " Works Volume 1 " was my favorite . Emerson was one hell of a keyboardist. One of the best in rock music - if not THE best . What a sad day. The music world has definitely lost an original talent for sure. RIP Keith you brightened my teenage years with your groups music

's likely a good portion of any money you give them will be wasted. And will be enabling their horrible selfish shunning treatment. Of your child no less.
Any donation they make to the watchtower is basically supporting the cult's immoral and criminal behavior.
And being that the end is "imminent" they won't use common sense.
Ther are so many worthy causes to donate to. I am blown away by the way jws cheat to get welfare, disability, unemployment. Flipper's jw relatives didn't see anything wrong with it - "everyone's doing it". A person from social services said what they have done is welfare fraud.
Wish you the best whatever you do. Mrs. Flipper

Leela- My wife and my heart goes out to you my friend in what you suffered. I had a strict elder dad who was very harsh as well. I admire you so much for moving on and creating a wonderful family of your own with your children and companion. What you have with them is priceless . It means everything. I feel you've made a good decision not to give your dad anymore of your time. You owe him nothing - because he gave you nothing but misery.
It may be that just sending condolences to your mom is the way to go, but to get involved with these emotional vampires who sucked the power away from you when young would just put you back in a bad place emotionally. You have regained your own power again as an adult woman and you have moved on in a positive way in life and your loving family that you live with now is what is important. Honor these ones that love you- give no quarter to the former family that dishonored you. Forgiveness is overrated. Forgiveness doesn't mean much to those who feel they did nothing wrong. They don't get it. It falls on deaf ears.
Wishing you and your partner and children all the happiness in the future. We are all here for you on this board. Take care, Sincerely, Mr. Flipper

What a loss to the music world ! I agree Done4good- the music world WILL be a very different place without him. A very cool , gentleman in the greatest sense of the word. He helped turn the Beatles into one of the greatest if not THE greatest music group in modern history. A producer who let the Beatles experiment and make music as they wanted- yet had the courage and balls to help direct them and give advice and direction as they needed. As McCartney stated he truly was like a father to all 4 of the Beatles. Without his direction and influence I doubt the Beatles would have ascended the upper heights of rock and roll history as much as they did in a huge way. Rest in Peace Sir George- you and the Beatles brought us years of joy in the music and will continue to do so - at least for me- forever
