Another slimy, perverted JW molester who slipped through the cracks no doubt because other elders dropped the ball on not reporting him to the police if they knew he molested before. How many times have we heard THAT story ? WT Society- A criminal organization protecting criminals. Happens all the time. Hundreds of times. It's getting old. Time for the federal government to step in. That's what needs to happen. Disgusting freak of a human being. If you can call him human -

Your thoughts on the Libertarian party
by James Mixon ini really like what governors w.weld and g. johnson bring to the table.. not familiar with the libertarian party and will do some investigation,.
but any thoughts on this party..

Not sure I trust the Libertarians any more than the Republicans.
When any of them say they want smaller government, they usually mean less government for the haves and more for the have-nots.
Am a member of the Green party since 1990. I've come to think of the Democrats as Republicans in sheep's clothing. But a Democrat in the White House would have to at least throw a bone to the constituents ( I hope) and cause less grief to the unwashed masses.

Recent mistakes of the Governing Body contributing to the decline of JWs
by slimboyfat inthey have made so many strategical mistakes it's hard to keep track.
some changes within the last decade or so that are contributing to declining numbers of jws:.
1. elimination of book study groups, the most informal, enjoyable and sociable of the jw meetings, contributed to loss of sense of community among jws.. 2. policy of consolidating kingdom halls.

SLIMBOYFAT - Great thread ! I agree with most everything folks have posted here. Great points everybody is bringing up.
Another thing I feel that's contributing to the JW organization's downfall is the sheer arrogance of the Governing Body feeling that the laws of the land that everybody else has to obey - don't apply to them. By stubbornly refusing to hand over documentation concerning their child abuse policies, stubbornly refusing to hand over the database file on JW pedophiles to the courts in San Diego, CA. or elsewhere - these GB members by transference and extension are making it even harder on rank & file JW's because a typical JW will be confronted on the street or door to door about the crazy decisions WT leaders make. Also what's exposed on the internet.
Which is another mark or evidence of the GB's arrogance- they don't care or give a rat's ass about the " flock " or rank & file JW's welfare - just the bottom line - the corporate survival financially of the WT society. Just another huge corporation throwing members and employees under the bus. The disrespect has become so impersonal that even the most staunch Witness is getting offended these days. I hope more JW's get out before they waste their entire lives in this criminal organization

When did the governing body go from 12 to 7 members?
by Tameria2001 ini have been out and away from that cult since 2001. back then there were 12 members of the governing body, and now i'm learning that number has come down to 7. when did this change take place, and what was their reason for dropping the number?.

There is a new letter to elders about Child Abuse
by ttdtt inanyone see that there is a long letter on how to handle child abuse?.

Thanks for posting- very interesting.
I still see a lot of - multiple times " contact the legal department", " contact the legal department ". I mean- these days WT leaders are so paranoid about elders dropping the ball and screwing up and costing the WT Society $$$$ millions - they won't let the elders take a shit without calling WT legal. Which means they're running scared- and well they should be with multiple child abuse lawsuits against them around the world.
WT Society is so concerned about elders screwing up that they have to get the Circuit Overseer involved on every allegation of child abuse judicially now with HIM making the call on which elders lead the JC . I don't know if this is different or not- perhaps someone else knows ?
But as someone mentioned earlier there is STILL no definitive instructions here making it mandatory for the elders to go to the police or authorities regarding child abuse. They allow victims and victims families to report- but elders are STILL being told to report to " WT legal " for child abuse crimes. Bizarre. WT leaders are STILL more concerned about the financial and legal fallout than the actual molesters being punished by the law authorities.
The statement, " If the wrongdoer is repentant and is reproved, the reproof should be announced to the congregation . This announcement will serve as a PROTECTION for the congregation. " Uh-huh. Like all the parents would know the person is reproved for child abuse- right ? Not. People won't know unless elders talk to them personally- and we know that ain't gonna happen. So much of this letter is same shit- different day

Do JWs believe they will be the only people saved at the "end"?
by LaurenM inthe answer posted on jw.org: "no.
many millions who lived in centuries past and who weren’t jehovah’s witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation.
additionally, many now living may yet begin to serve god, and they too will gain salvation.

Oh- And in answer to your thread question- YES, JW's believe that they are the only ones who will be " saved " at the fictitious " battle of Armageddon ". Peace out, Mr. Flipper

LAUREN- Basically the WT Governing Body and the WT writing committee are lying when they write, " it's not our job to judge who will or won't be saved . " That's a flat out lie. Because WT leaders DO look at themselves as prospective judges who will allegedly "rule with Jesus in heaven as the 144,000 . " So it's a total untruth when they claim not to judge. As you stated- otherwise they wouldn't DF people or kick them out of the JW religion. So, yes they do judge, and what they post on their websites are lies. Peace out, mr. Flipper

Are they either leaving or going full on 'cult mode'? No quarter.
by punkofnice init might just be me imagining things.. i hear things from my jw spies.. from all that's being said, it seems to me that the rank and file(tm), are either waking up to the scam and fading/leaving.
they are going full on 'cult mode' and acting like 'spiritual police'.. is it just me and my imagination?
have others noticed this?.

Hey PUNK- Really great thread topic. Love your you tubes man, great job.
I really believe with the WT Society amping up the FEAR and GUILT levels at the RC's through the use of that ridiculous " bunker " video - that the JW's that are deeply mind controlled already by the cult will get pushed even deeper into their mind controlled state and turn into REAL freaks- even freakier than they've been - full on cult mode , ratting each other out , shunning inactive ones- the whole enchilada . They'll get worse in their behavior.
As for those who already are having cracks of doubt in their JW armor - I believe those cracks will start to widen as they see the WT Society telling them to give, give , give more in ways of monetary contributions - but they see the GB laying off Bethel workers, shutting down construction or repairs on Kingdom halls , selling off land or Kingdom halls on that land and forcing people to consolidate in bigger numbers in Kingdom halls where they have to drive 30 or 45 minutes to in order just to attend a freaking meeting ! This is starting to happen in places.
My JW daughter's JW husband opened up to me about that very thing- worried his elders are going to sell their Kingdom hall or the land claiming there is NO money available for repairs - and this caused my son in law to shake his head in confusion. My son in law expressed that he doesn't want to travel 30 to 45 minutes one way just to get to a meeting. I believe he is starting to miss some meetings here and there - so we will see what happens.
So I agree with your opening post and others. The more mind controlled a JW is- this current info will drive them deeper into the mind controlled state , if a JW already has doubts , the cracks of doubts will start to widen and in time more will eventually leave. Kind of how I see it at present. Take care my music buddy

She was mental, all right. Sadistic, voyeuristic, attention whore, hypocrite.
She created theaters for herself to have control of and gawk at the pain of the poor.
But a sacred cow in this society. Interesting seeing her in the video with Reagan - another sacred cow.
God fearing, church going Christians.
I grew up around Catholics and figured out early on that they were crazy. No contraception, no divorce, no abortion. Make yourself suffer - it will please god.
Like so many religions they are way overfocused on natural sexuality being a horrible sin.
Really disturbing.
