For some peculiar reason the David Letterman youtube of Tom Waits singing " Make it Rain " will not post. Must be copyright things. I'll try posting it off the " Real Gone " album.

What should I do?
by Tameria2001 inhello everyone, it's been quite a while since i was last on this forum.
originally i was under a different user name, but lost all that information when i moved to a different state.
anyways, i had left the jws back in 2001, after being raised up in it most of my childhood life.

I agree with Scary21. This is an opportunity to expose what the jws are all about. Especially because the people hosting the event are so willing to accommodate these jws.
Let them be the ones who freak out and behave badly. I might tell anyone you talk to that you would love to stay longer and visit, but the jws really do need you to leave so that they won't get in trouble with their church for disobeying the shunning rule.
That you certainly don't agree with it but you want to keep the peace. Then explain how families are separated for years, even lifetimes because of the cult shunning.
Maybe take just a little bit longer to leave so the jws can arrive and get all wigged out while you behave politely.
Manipulative, yes, but it's worth it to expose the cult and inform the public how bad they are.

Judge sanctions WTS - $4k per day penalty for not producing sex abuse documents
by Simon injudge sanctions jehovah's witnesses.
imposes $4000-a-day penalty for not producing documents in sex-abuse case.
by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.

" They would have been much smarter to just clean house and get rid of the pedophiles."
Yeah, I agree with you, too late for that. If WT leaders had tried to get rid of the pedophiles- then they would have had to get rid of themselves. Jaracz, Greenlees, Chitty just to name several WT leaders who were - allegedly- pedophiles - the problem starts at the top of this WT organization - thus the lack of action trying to rid itself of child molesters.
If we wrap our minds around the fact that Ted Jaracz was the MAIN voice against the child abuse articles being printed in the early 1990's Awake magazine- he and Lloyd Barry actually fought verbally over whether those articles should be printed - naturally Lloyd Barry another GB member prevailed and got those articles printed- but not without Ted Jaracz throwing a shit fit first. And WHY do you suppose Jaracz threw a shit fit ? I'll let you figure it out. It's just absolutely a criminal organization from the top down. The sooner everybody gets that in their heads - the sooner the illusion of WT leaders superiority will disappear into the wind

Musicians Who Died in the Last Year - or Through the Years- Who Do you Miss Most ?
by flipper ini think for me in the last year the death of david bowie got to me the most.
not only in the way he handled his demise so classy by even making a song about it and a you tube about dying and sharing it with fans, but just his whole persona i always thought was pretty cool.
plus i enjoyed a good many of his songs.

Some of you mentioned Richard Wright of Pink Floyd, John Bonham of Led Zeppelin, and Glenn Frey . Very true- all of these musicians deaths deeply affected me as well. I don't think David Gilmour will ever get over losing his close friend Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright. Gilmour has already written a couple songs dedicated to his former bandmate. And what can we say about John Bonham's loss ? It caused Zeppelin to disband- they just couldn't continue without him. And Led Zeppelin has always been one of my favorite bands up there with the Beatles. And Glenn Frey was in many ways the heart and soul of the Eagles , he was kind of the glue that held their tumultuous group together through the years. More likeable in my opinion than Don Henley. I mean personality wise- not necessarily music wise.
It just makes you wonder how much more great music these artists would have contributed ? I'm sure it would have been immense. Thanks for all your responses ! Keep em ' coming ! Have a great 4th of July weekend ! Peace out, mr. Flipper
