  Well, I think the Bible, today, is very useful to lots of people. Not so much in times past when countless amounts of people were killed over it - and in some parts of the world still are - but, there is a great deal to be said for people who change their lives and become Christians. I respect that. My personal beliefs concerning the bible are irrelevant, so no matter how misplaced I feel those beliefs are, if it makes a better person then I am all for it.

  My personal beliefs in the Bible could be completely wrong, and although I like to fight my corner, I respect the Bible as a force for good mostly in today's world.

  In fact, most of Christianity is based on Pagan worship. The whole idea of a son of God that came to earth and died for our sins had been played out by the Pagans many, many times before the supposed birth of Jesus.
