  i wonder if this will do anything to help settle the 607 vs' 587 debate.. the british museum yesterday hailed a discovery within a clay tablet in its collection as a breakthrough for biblical archeology - proof of the accuracy of the old testament.. .

  the cuneiform inscription in a tablet dating from 595bc has been deciphered for the first time - revealing a reference to an official at the court of nebuchadnezzar, king of babylon, that proves the historical existence of a figure mentioned in the book of jeremiah.

  it is rare evidence in a non-biblical source of a real person, other than kings, featured in the bible.

  I like that may 15 1971 WT article where it quotes josephus against apion. That same book also says that jerusalem was desolate for 50 years not 70. Is it not wonderful how the WTS does not mention that?

  Has anyone the attendance figures for 2007 memorial?

  i know the memorial figures are not a very good indicater of how the borg are doing but the figures can certainly be compared with last years.i guess there won't be a worldwide figure yet but possably there will be totals for some individual countries available.

  i am from the u.k. and the totals will probably have been published in the kingdom ministry by now.

  i googled that name and found a trust fund that is named after her.

  i also found the tax returns for 2005,2004,2003 for that fund.

  the riley trust funds largest revenue is oil and gas royalties and in 2005 over 3 million dollars of oil and gas royalties flowed into the riley trust fund.

  The following is total speculation???

  With the new information that Patrick and Leo Riley might be relatives of H M Riley makes me think that H M Riley never made the Watchtower Society the beneficiary of anything.

  So why does the H M Riley Trust fund give to the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society??

  The WTS has taken the estates of gullable JWs for 140 years, sooner or later they would have acquired land with Oil and Gas resources.My theory is that the WTS has Oil producing land of it's own and never received any land from the Rileys. Lets say the WTS wishes to pump oil from the land it owns. They hire Riley Oil Inc.(made up name) to drill the wells and pump the oil. The WTS would then receive royalties for the oil. The WTS does not want to get paid directly from Riley Oil or it will have to pay tax.

  So Riley Oil sets up a trust fund named "H M Riley TR for Watchtower Bible" then Riley OIl makes regular deposits into this trust fund, then the trustee of the fund (not related to the WTS in any way) makes charitable contributions to the WATCHTOWER BIBLE AND TRACT SOCIETY

  It is a win win situation . Riley Oil does not pay taxes on the deposits because the trust fund is a charitable organization and the WTS does not have to pay taxes on the charitable contributions (how sweet is that!!) Further, the stocks that are traded in the trust fund are really a smoke screen to make the fund look legit.

  So what ya think?

  I can answer that. Please look at page 17 and page 1 of the 2005 tax return. On page 17 the amounts

  298025.53

  263356.86

  are shown which are the same amounts on page 1. So yes, all the stocks listed on page 17 are in the Riley Trust fund. The Harley Davidson stock is interesting. It proves the WTS is living high on the hog

  These tax returns for the Riley Trust fund make no attempt to dislose the owners of the land which is producing the oil and gas royalties!!!! Very suspect
