Yet you may fall afoul of some "religionists" judgemental attitude. Enjoy these holidays with a heart that won't condemn you, grt it?

elders, culpability, apples & oranges...

sometimes it's funny when a thread gets off topic----and sometimes it isn't.. a very good question has arisen.."are jehovah's witness elders culpable for damage done by the watchtower by virtue of their postition?".

somehow the topic changed to "don't blame elders for being 'in' the org, they may be mislead, that's all they know, they do some good, yada yada yada.... like hell!!!!!.

thee is a big world of difference between being 'in' the org for whatever reason, and being an elder, a public representative, an active campaigner, a judicial committee member...and i can go on and on here....of an organization that teaches death and destruction of most everyone on earth, and whose policies result in deaths of people probably every day.. if a person must stay in, then stay in.

What of the culpability of the Anointed? Ever wonder just how many have stayed in as to how many have spoken out and got the boot? Or left of their own accord?

i am preparing a major upgrade on my book, "thus saith the governing body of jehovah's witnesses," which i may retitle "thus saith the watchtower.

" anyway, i am putting in dozens of pages updating stuff on voting, pedophiles, the media and deception, and most notably the united nations issue.

what amazes me is over half of the november 22, 1998 awake!

Hey they have no choice but to support the UN. You can't buy or sell on the international market with out the aproval (mark) of the "beast". Hell, you have to support the demoncratic way don't you? (did I mis spell that? *chuckles*)

who may be decent people apart from the wt.

The culpability of elders is one thing, what of that of the Anointed? Most have been to afraid to answer the Calling because of the borgs ursuping the seats on the GB and kicking out the rest from the KHalls. The hearvest is much bigger than the first fruits of 144k.

All the "insight" that the dubs had came from the Anointeds letters. That stoped with insight many decades ago. But arn't the ones with The Calling still culpable for not using the gifts of the Spirit on behalf of all those being harmed at the halls?

Well, pick any 2 protestant versions you want that containe the Apocrypha and Deuterocanonicals, the Catholic St. Josephs Student edition, I have a replica of the 1611 first edition and the side notes and references are invaluable. That I know of the NRSV w/Apocrypha and Deuterocanonicals is the only one with a complete concordance.

NO. Americaneese of the Pacific Northwest dialect is my only fluent language. Unless you include "body language".

17 schools in 11 years 9th year was the highest graduated. *grins*

What I know of the sciences says that mathmaticaly for the time needed to "evolve"; we had to be "seeded" here.

Thanks for the Welcome Saint Satan. (I am kinda partial to the Saints. *chuckles*) Enjoy the fresh clear cool water. Never is there any added chemicals to it. Yes the Elijah story is interesting to say the least. Sirach 48 adds a bit more to what is known.

Island Woman; Nice name, and as to your question, well, here is your answer.

"The Third" is a reminder to any that keep re-searching for truth. It was after the death of John (baptizer) that Jesus told his followers that they are to expect another that would RESTORE ALL THINGS. John didnt do that. He was already dead. Jesus spoke with Elijah and Moses on the mount just before his arrest and murder. Yet Jesus said that John was the Elijah to come. THEN added that "indeed elijah is comming, and will restore all things". There are other prophesy's that John never fulfilled that the next Elijah would. Yes, there is more to this, but if you check it out you should see what I mean. Many false prophets are come, but never the less, ONE of those that come will be the real one that is gifted with the power and spirit like Elijah's. What do you think?

first of all id like to say hello to everyone on this website, and to thank and acknowledge each and every one of you for your individuality, personal experience, and in some cases, commitment to truth.. having read some of the heartfelt topics and posts here have served to be a great encouragement to me, more than some could imagine.

my name is jason, and i am a recovering ex-jw.. i guess this would be an ideal time to tell my life story as an abbreviated version, so here goes.. i was "born into, or raised" in the organization.

my grandfather was an elder for 45 years, and served as one of the very first jw in the south chicagoland suburbs.

What you went through sure showes the same mind set of the borg in most cases of "judgement".

It seems that I have read that the maters of judgement are to be brought before Holy Ones (Anointed) Not worldly courts. Then WHY have the WTBTS given this authority over to those with out the Anointing? Those that are not gifted with the Spirit to judge? Then they do it behind closed doors! Dosn't it say it is to be brought before the entire group (congregation)?

If what is written is REALLY followed and APPLIED we would have true justice and judgement. Not "kangaroo courts". But then there arn't many of the "old" Anointed left are there,,,, and there arn't any newly Anointed are there? *grins mischieviously*

Welcome to the boards from a newbie here himself. There are those here that are of the Anointed (have the true Calling) you can see it in their posts. You will feel it in your heart,,,, they are here.
