I would agree - beauty is in the eye of the beholder - that however is not the point. The point is WHY whatever culture you are from and whatever you find beautiful - the question is WHY. What makes someone beautiful to you as opposed to ugly?

Don't forget the ripoff merchants who run www.meander.co.uk Check out the extortionate prices they charge. And as for the British Museum tours (that are used by the branch). The British Museum is free to visit yet they have a compulsory donation included in their price. They use brothers to conduct the tours (elders and pioneers) who do it for free yet expect donations (and count the time as service) and they still expect you to pay for the privilege as well. And of course you have to dress as you would if you were going to a meeting.

In my experience - which is expansive and covers many, many congregations - PO's are the ones that cause most of the problems in the first place. So putting them in an even more 'privileged' and 'powerful' position sounds like a recipe for disaster. Conversely I've said for years that the 'rotation' arrangement should be bought back to lessen the 'power-mongers' control.

Personality disorders among jw elders
by badboy ini had one that singled me out on a talk.
i was supposedly working on warmth and enthusiasm, which they should reasonably have known i could not do properly without hope with the opposite sex (which they blew on the promise of).
this idiot gave me a w on that point, after i had previously been marked i on the same point (and this idiot was not known for giving w's first and asking questions later--at least then i could have understood that he was just picky).. this same hounder also continually dallied at the kingdumb hell after promising me rides back and forth.
