  What Was the Role of the Prophets? --->please help pick this apart.

  i asked a jw several questions via email ....this was the only question she has answered.. the first page talks about false doctrines.

  do jehovah's witnesses feel that they are prophets?

  the title of this is "the end of false religion is near" that sounds like a prophesy.. this is her answer.. whatwastheroleoftheprophets?.

  JW books for sale, hire or distribution

  we have a stack of old jw (wts) and jw-related (commentary-type) books sat in boxes.

  we haven't looked at them for years now and probably won't ever again.

  I have a good idea for the old magazines. We do a lot of traveling and wouldn't it be great to leave old mags with a note attached to see this site, WT research or whatever, maybe asking about the 607 issue, salvation through the WT, or the pedophile issue? Leaving them at gas station rest rooms or interstate rest areas? I used to leave the mags. Wish I'd kept the old ones now, I'd put them to good use!

  what i would tell her is to answer my questions as simply as possible. tell her you don't want an essay and if she has to explain something that much then it's most likely not true. what's simple is true. it's sounds more confusing than clarifying.

  my mother married an elder when i was 1 1/2 years old.

  ^that's one of the first things that made me think that maybe the bible and the jw's were full of it.

  whenever my mom comes home from the meeting she moans about how the encouragement from the brothers is actually discouraging her, but she blames it on herself just being the odd (wo)man out.

• What is your point of view regarding this issue?

- yes, but i don't believe all are evil.

- i have experienced some things first hand. i could feel whether the spirit was sad, playful, or angry ... masculine or feminine.

- i think that it's not a good idea to dwell on it or become obsessed with the spirit realm. playing with something you have very little knowledge of is dangerous, mostly to your sanity ;)
