^that's one of the first things that made me think that maybe the bible and the jw's were full of it.
whenever my mom comes home from the meeting she moans about how the encouragement from the brothers is actually discouraging her, but she blames it on herself just being the odd (wo)man out.
...if only she knew.

Do you think there is a possibility that such things as
evil supernatural forces exist?
Have you known of anyone who may have experienced

What is your point of view regarding this issue?

- yes, but i don't believe all are evil.

- i have experienced some things first hand. i could feel whether the spirit was sad, playful, or angry ... masculine or feminine.

- i think that it's not a good idea to dwell on it or become obsessed with the spirit realm. playing with something you have very little knowledge of is dangerous, mostly to your sanity ;)

i am a long time lurker (almost 2 years) but first time poster.

even though you didn't know me before now, i feel like i have known a lot of you for quite a while.

from my time viewing jwd, i have learned many things and have felt like sometimes that you were talking directly to me.

What Was the Role of the Prophets? --->please help pick this apart.

i asked a jw several questions via email ....this was the only question she has answered.. the first page talks about false doctrines.

do jehovah's witnesses feel that they are prophets?

the title of this is "the end of false religion is near" that sounds like a prophesy.. this is her answer.. whatwastheroleoftheprophets?.

my JW mom squares her conscience about their intolerence of homosexuality by saying that all gays are mentally ill and it's not something you are born with.

...i beg to differ. this is where you will either believe the bible 100% or use your own common sense and thinking faculties to see what's really going on.

What and how would you change/fix?

so often, i hear people complaining about how the jw beliefs are no longer working and things like that....but so often, the complainers never say what should be done to solve the problem(s).

today i was reading jehovahs-witness.com/6/122349/1.ashx (about "faders"), which had some honest & interesting points but no solutions.

some, even seem to think there's flaws in the whole jw organization.

after being cornered and tired of the games, i suggested kevin elder meet me and i would give him my letter of da.

he doesn't know it has been posted on this forum and on jwfacts site for a week or better, and that i sent many copies of it out to former friends last friday.

New Campaign: "The End of False Religion Is Near" and the Tribulation

yesterday my wife (an inactive-but-not-yet-df'd jw) and i went over to visit her parent's house (still very active jws), and my mother-in-law handed my wife a flyer entitled 'the end of false religion is near' with a nice evil-destroying lightning bolt pictured on the front.

she whispered to my wife that this was a new campaign and was not supposed to be handed out until next month, but was "very excited, because this is supposed to bring about the tribulation".. they may be right.

inside the two pages they call catholics condoning child molesting (ironic), non-jws blood thirsty war mongers, and how people involved in politics are under mind control (again, ironic), among other things.

You notice they did not have anything bad to say about Muslims. Probably afraid maybe a plane would fly into the headquarters in Brooklyn if they did.

good point ... they will probably start talking crap about muslims if they think it will get a rise though. they keep taking stabs at the catholics but they are too easy prey. where's the courage in that? "tempest in a teapot" indeed

yeah... my mom was talking about it like it was big shit, the end of the world and all that.

i had to stifle my laughter.

It's the equivalent of a snotty little kid poking people just to get their backs so they can pretend to be martyrs in front of their mommy.
