  long story to my user name...as for my avatar...I can relate to donnie darko (apart from talking to 6 foot rabbits...well only occasionally)he is pretty much a loner and has his own mind and does crazy stuff (all for good).....he's the man

  My Master's turnoff -- disgusting. What's yours?

  yesterday, i witnessed something disgusting, a personal turnoff i hadn't seen for a long time -- this on national tv and during the masters golf tournament.

  here, the best player in the world (you know who he is) takes a finger with his right hand and closes off his right nostril, then blows his left nostril toward the ground.

  no handkerchief, no kleenex -- nothing.

  Had The Big Chat with my wife...

  after being a long time fader and lurking here for a few years i finally had the courage to speak to my wife the other day

  she was complaining about how we never get invited back to other jw's houses despite being fairly hospitable ourselves and how she's made some new worldly friends that werre non-judgemental and just nice people.

  she also mentioned her mum (also jw but weak - split up from her jw husband) was struggling with the routine and had lots of nice friends out of the kh.

  can I add..I think most of you would not understand my accent at all....yet I would understand most of yours....the reason? FAMILIARITY with the accent through television....it's rare to hear a Scottish accent on telly (apart from groundsman Willy on the simpsons who doesnt really sound scottish...the same as Scotty on star trek)but we hear American and Cockney accents constantly...just a thought
