"Jovian"?
A group of Crows is called a Murder
A group of Apes is called a Shrewdness
A group of Dunlins is called a Fling
Maybe a group of jovies is called a Braindeath, or an Automaton or a Brainwashing, or a Dump?

The Case for Theism
by FusionTheism in"theism" here means "belief in a god" or "the worldview that an intelligent designer created the universe and life.
" ("god" here means a being with a mind who initiated and/or wound-up the universe, and designed life on earth)the most common claim that i see atheists making on twitter, is that "no evidence" exists in support of belief in a god.this post will remove any excuse atheists have for claiming "no evidence exists" in support of an initiator.
atheists can still reject this evidence as "weak," but they cannot truthfully say it does not exist.now, it is true that we do not have "observable, repeatable, falsifiable, empirical, scientific" evidence conclusively proving that an initiator exists, but we do have many lines of philisophical, experiential, and logical evidence.and... here... we... go:1:) many leading scientists, including stephen hawking, say that the space-time-matter universe had a beginning at the singularity/big bang.

For the love of all that you hold dear, please, oh please, before you continue with your tedious vomit, please go away and learn some worthwhile science and the understanding that goes with it, then, and only then, if you must, come back and we can talk sensibly. Otherwise, peace off.

I read your tedious shyte.
I am responding to some, though not all because, in all honesty, I can't be bothered and your tedious shyte isn't worth the efort but here goes.
1. Time is part of the space-time continuum. Time only exists if space does and vice versa. After big bang, the physical laws in the resulting universe demanded that an effect resulted from a cause. Before big bang, we can make no such assumptions since time nor space existed. Therefore, it is entirely possible that an effect could preceed a cause or in fact there was no connection between cause and effect.
Basically, you assume that the same laws applied pre-big bang as applied post big bang which may not be the case.
Please see the experiments conducted at MIT where a vessel was evacuated of all matter and elemental particles were seen to be created spontaneously without the aid of a supernatural being.
2) There are billions of solar systems in this universe. It would be staggering if at least one were not fine tuned for life, purely on the basis of randomness and probability. In fact, in all probability, there are many solar systems in the universe that are fine tuned for life.
3) Science has never observed life spontaneously developing. This is true. However, it doesn't mean that it isn't happening. Oh, and by the way, have you ever seen your precious god?
I really can't be bothered answering any others. It's just far too tedious.

Best Argument for Atheism - In your view.
by LAWHFol inif crisis of conscience is one of the top watchtower doctrine killers, what is the coc of theism?.
i'd like to read a book, or other material that does the best job logically arguing for atheism.. i've not read any darwin, however it is my assumption that his focus is primarily on evolution, is this correct?
if you were to recommend one book or a few pieces of reading material, which do the best job of defending atheism, what would they be?.

... the components of religion - e.g. fellowship, purpose, good works, stories, happiness, social coherence, morality,
The day a religion comes up with this, hell, even I'll join.
.. religion gives you a disease and then gives you a placebo for a cure.
Priceless.

Proof - of what?
by Doltologist ina few weeks ago, these two jovies turned up on my doorstep.
being in a good mood that particular day, i told them that if they could prove that god existed, i'd become a jovie - and i meant every word.. they gave me two documents which they asked me read and told me that they'd be back in a week.
the first was called "was life created?

Bible Chronology, Egyptology and the Great Flood
by cappytan infact: bible chronology says the flood occurred between 2348 and 2370 bce, depending on which scholar you listen to.
fact: the great pyramid of giza was constructed 200 years before, in c. 2560 bce..
so, if you believe in a literal interpretation of noah's flood, you believe that the egyptians built a great civilization, were destroyed by the flood in 2370 bce, and then somehow, they reappeared immediately after the flood, picked right back up where they left off without skipping a cultural beat.. oh, and isn't it ironic that legitimately studying the great pyramid of giza debunks jw mythology now?

Kepler
Easy way to resolve this controversy.
Take travelogue book about Egypt with good photos of Great Pyramids to Kingdom Hall.
Consult with Elder and ask him to point out the high water marks.
Elders are so shit thick, they couldn't even point out the pyramids.

Your previous post wasn't quite clear. It is now.
You should give yourself a pat on the back for getting out. You deserve one. I'm only now beginning to understand just how difficult that is.
Take care y'hear?
