My JW mom has been involved with Melaleuca for many years. She has signed a-lot of people up for it, but it hasn't resulted in much money for her. The negative side of it is that you have to have an order every month and if you forget to order, you get a shipment of items you have said were your back-up....this could mean you have a-lot of vitamins or detergent you don't need. I liked their products, but it is pricey....and I personally don't like the idea of "selling" anything.

There is a great site to some info for Bible reasoning for former JW's. I found it very helpfull to listen to them as I was figuring out what to believe. Enjoy exploring it!! I can't seem to paste it here, so go to MM outreach (google it) and you will see the link. It also has many testimonies that you can listen to. Hope it helps!
BTW....has anyone else used the site?

DO YOU STILL HAVE PERSONAL INTEGRITY?
by juni infor most all of us here we have had association with the jehovah's witnesses in some way or another.
there are many man-made "rules" within the organization.
that fact we all agree on.

I am "one of those" that lost all integrity when I left the org.....
but I was depressed, thought I was to die at armegeddon very soon, had no job skills, and was very nieve (sp?) I was so lost at that time and had no idea of how to think for myself...
I mean if I grew up believing it is wrong to swear, masterbate, say "gezuntite", associate with the "world", celebrate holidays, enjoy life......ect ect ect, I mean how much of a stretch is it to fornicate, drink too much, be self destructive??
I was on such a bad path, but it was like I was self fullfilling their prophecy on how my life would be with out Jehovah.
I was always the good little JW, having all the integrity they told me to have and so I forgive myself for the times I had to figure out my own integrity.
Now, I am a completley WHOLE person, and I do have better morals than I did as a JW. I have nothing to lie about....ie, FS time, excuses for missing meetings, mag placements.
So , I guess for the first time....I now do have personal integrity....I never knew what it even was before.

ONLY.....and I do mean ONLY for my daughter. I have a mom that has disowned me...and although it would be nice if it wasn't like that, I would never go back so she will speak to me....but if my daughter ever feels the need to shun me I may have to do what is needed to go from DA'd to inactive. I would think long and hard though. I want her to see I have integrity for what I believe, so it would depend on the whole situation at the time. If it was easy though to get my "status" changed...like a "dirty elder" would just change it for me, I would do that. (ANY TAKERS?) LOL

My mums operation
by fullofdoubtnow inmy mum had her operation today, and i am so relieved!
everything went fairly well, and there seems to have been no complications, though it may be some time before she makes a full recovery.
she will be in hospital for a little while, and when she does come home she will most likely need someone with her most of the time as she won't be able to get around too well, but my brother and i will deal with that when she does come home.. the last few days have been really stressful, and i want to thankyou all for your good wishes, it means so much to me to know my mum has been in your thoughts and prayers.

What is the re-instatement process?
by megsmomma ini would like to know if it just requires an elder to send in something to update your records.
i have been very stressed out lately....thinking about my 8 year old shunning me just about kills me.
i da'd myself quite a while ago (7yrs) and i wish i could have somehow faded.

Just to answer.......My ex has full custody. When I left I was not in my right mind what-so-ever and I thought I was "good as dead" in Jehovah's eyes....and I didn't even think I should have custody. It is the biggest regret in my life. However, my ex does not try to stop the visits....whenever I can see her I do, and we talk on the phone all the time. The thing I worry about is that when she gets older she will realize that (as the elders manual says) shunning DA'd DF'd is neccesary to have a good relationship with Jehovah....and I don't want her to feel guilty for loving me or talking to me. I definitley want her to see what the WTBTS is....and make her decision about it based on the facts and I will encourage her to wait to get baptised till she is at least 18 (and I will show her what I have found at that time) But....it would be nice to just be her inactive mom....instead of her thinking I am on Satan side....blah blah

Well, thanks for the insight. I guess I am grasping at straws here. There is NO WAY I would be able to endure months of that kind of torture...I cannot be fake for that long....maybe a day or two....but not months of it. Although I do feel like I would do it for my daughter, but then I would have the JW's know where I live and they would DF me again for sure. Man, hind-sight is 20/20.....
