I went through a lot of them. The problem with it is that there are a lot of procedures that they should've listed but they didn't. Very few people under the age of 60 need a surgical face lift, but there were several different selections of face lift, neck lift, brow lift, etc. A lot of those people would do great with minimally invasive things like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, etc. No matter, though. As PEC said, who wants a bunch of know-it-alls on the internet critiqueing their face?

To "Youllneverknow" - my secret admirer... are you listening?
by AK - Jeff inby now you realise that your account has been deactivated.
i'm a bit sad in a way, since i know you are no threat to me.
still, out here in the 'real life', we have rules regarding civil conduct that even jehovah's witnesses must abide by to keep their 'privilages' here.

Wow, AK Jeff. I don't think I've ever "seen" you this angry before. I missed out on the original secret admirer ordeal somehow. I just wanted to pop in and see if you're doing OK. Exwitless

Our 9-year-old's theory of evolution
by exwitless inmy son, who is quite intelligent and insightfull for his age, gave me a good laugh this evening.
we were sitting at a table putting together a puzzle.
i said something of little importance and he decided he needed to correct how i said it.

My son, who is quite intelligent and insightfull for his age, gave me a good laugh this evening. We were sitting at a table putting together a puzzle. I said something of little importance and he decided he needed to correct how I said it. I asked him why he always has to be so critical of everything I say lately. His answer was, "Well, if I don't correct things that are wrong and we all stay stupid, then we'll never evolve into aliens!" Of course I had to laugh, and I asked him if he really thinks we will evolve into aliens. He said we would only evolve if we correct stupidness and get smarter as humans in general. He then stated humans are now "Super Monkeys", and the goal is to become "Ultima Monkeys" (aliens). Current real monkeys are just plain monkeys who have not evolved.
So, for those who are interested in becoming Ultima Monkeys, you must eliminate all stupidness. (Looks like I'll be a regular Super Monkey for awhile.)

Sounds like the lyrics to a country song...
by exwitless inhere's what's going on in our pitiful world right now: little drummer boy's truck needs a major (meaning expensive) repair on it asap; our lawn mower suddenly quit working; our air conditioner also quit working.
currently, it's 8:40 p.m. and it's 82 degrees and humid outside.
all we have is a little window ac which isn't cutting it (being that it is currently 83 degrees inside our house.

Thanks for putting it in lyric form (with musical notations, no less). I couldn't have done it better myself. I can just hear the steel guitar whining in the background . . .

Our septic system needs emptied. We all need to get to the dentist but haven't even made an appointment yet. Two people at my workplace are leaving and I'm working 3 times harder because of it. OK, sorry for the pity party. How are you all doing?

What are some of the things that you miss about not being a JW
by Brain Dead inwhat are some of the things that you miss about not being a jw any more ?
for myself i'd have to say it was the close relationships with the people there, some i don't miss at all, but some i really do miss, like the kids that i grew up with .
during my childhood.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. As NVRGNBK stated, any "relationships" I developed were all an illusion and very conditional. My experience as a dub for 14 years was a complete waste. Nope, I have no warm fuzzy feelings about anything having to do with being a JW.

Sci-fi fans or not? Speak Klingon? Or are you a face hugger?
by Crumpet init occurred to me during my meanderings through london last night that invariably boyfriends describe me in the context of science fiction.
i like geeky guys a lot so that is to be expected.
but moving on to the dubious similarities - the first called me a a face hugger - nice, unless you have watched aliens in which case you will know what a face hugger is.

I was just thinking of my husband as a Vulcan this morning when we were shopping and he said "I fail to see the logic in looking at something you don't intend to buy."

You guys are so cool. I really appreciate your well-wishing. Well, I guess I sorta just demanded that you wish me well in my first post, but thanks all the same. I just got back from my A&P exam, and I got an A!!!!!! I'm surprized, because when I did the practice exam at home, I bombed it. There's another 6 college credits under my belt . . . countless more to go.
CoCo, maybe I'll drum up the old proper speech thread, just for fun. Good idea. I think I have a few more to add.
