Good to see you again, man! That's good news there...

ok, it's been awhile and i thought i'd tell you guys what happened about the family reunion situation.
to rehash... i wrote a letter telling all the jw's in my family that i wasn't going to take any crap off them anymore, that i would embarass their dumba#* if they treated me badly in anyway at funerals and reunions and the like.
i told them i was going to bring information about the idiot jw's to every family event and i was going to get in their faces if they chose to treat me badly cause i refuse to follow the fools at the wtbts.
Good to see you again, man! That's good news there...

they were so demented - i loved them.
used to listen to the first 2 albums all the time when i was in junior high school - probably made me what i am today.
mr f too - we played those the other night.
Touch Me and Love Her Madly are my two favorites. Nothing beats the sound of those two songs on a good Quadrophonic stereo system! :)
I actually have a quad CD-4 copy of the old Best Of LP. No more Shibata stylus, though...sigh

The entire Strange Days album.

Very cool, Gopher!

This one is too tough. They are all really good. Big fan of Jeff Lynne's work..
hello friends,.
i heard from a "brother" whose daughter is in bethel, that his daughter told him that there will be 'new light" released in january pertaining to "adjustments in understanding" of the generation doctrine.. does anybody know what this may be about?
or what the change might be?.
This leads me to wonder why they did the 1995 change the way they did.
Did they think it had to be some inbetween garbage before the rank and file would
accept the final change years later? Kind of like- "Let's confuse everybody, so they
don't know how to react, then leave it for 12 or more years, then finally give them
something new that they can say is at least easier to understand than the previous
new understanding. They will forget all about examining how ridiculous the whole
thing is. Besides, by then we can open the door for more anointed. If we do that
now, they might examine our reasons."
Bingo! Talk about a bunch of evil manipulative spin doctors...

alright.
as hard as it may be to pick, what is your favorite david bowie song?.
as much as i worship the man and as much as i love his song-writing, my favorite track and/or performance of his is an old and oft performed tune (performed by such greats as johnny mathis and nina simone, in fact...).
Station to Station, great album and title track. In a different mood, I might say Moon Aged Day Dream, from Ziggy.
j
let me jump the bandwagon also.
hopefully there are some fans of the dan.
i worship them.. i love boston rag, deacon blues and jake of speed.
Truly one of my favorite all time bands!
Just about anything from Can't Buy a Thrill, Countdown to Ecstasy, or Katy Lied is always good.

So Lonely-Off the first album. I also remember hearing a real kick ass bootleg of this recorded at the Beacon in NYC...

aside from mark nearly swallowing the mic... this is some of the best ever done.

Brothers in arms was the very first CD I ever bought along with my Technics CD player
Me too. February of 1986 to be exact. The CD player, though was one of those Sony models rebadged by Radio Shack. I was all of 13 years old, and yes, I spent all of my hard earned paper route dollars on that thing.
Yes, I too am a big fan of Knophler and Dire Staits.
