Suicide yes, I have concidered it.

i am lonely, and i know that most of the women who are jw's are concerned with them selves they want rich men with flashy clothes.. women who want prestige in the congregation saying look i got an elder for a husband see how he is taking the lead in my family in all things and giving talks at the assembles, i show him respect as man only because he has earned it in the fashion of a bride price.. thus the above relates to me to the extent my ex-wife got me to believe in all this negative crap, that i as a man was unworthy of god and my fellow members if i don't size up to all the religious do's and don'ts.. depression oh yeah i am that just like toy's r. us, traumatic brain injury then my a wonderful wife in good standing in the holy witness congregation of twenty-one years, dumps my sorry ass saying gee you have changed too much.
like duh, you have large portion of your brain stabbed and gouged from skull fragments and see if it does not confuse you or contribute to depressing you dear, of course no response she just goes and marries a known child molester of the congregation who then attempts it on my twelve year old daughter.. oh there's is much more so crazy you would think i was making it up, but who gives a flying crap, huh.. ~shane

I will admit that while I "was in" the Org. I never considered suicide. However since being ousted and shunned I have been hospitalised at lest 3 times for attempted suicide. Now many JW's that read this may think to themselves ... "See, there is nothing that can make you happier than being in "God's true Org". But I beg to differ.
First off...of course being in "the Borg" suicidal thoughts would not be a consideration since we were taught that ANYONE considering this would NOT be resurrected. OK, with this in mind, who is to say who truly considered suicide or not? I mean, I MUST have thought about suicide otherwise the thought of no resurrection for those that did commit suicide would not attain everlasting life or resurection for that matter. Funny how the mind works.
After being "ousted" and having, what I thought were good friends, being totally denied as a good person I did try to commit suicide. In fact it has bee at least 3 times. I say at least because it was at least 3 times that I was hospitalised for it.
What I have learned is that if anyone that has half an ounce of what is called "life preservation" rather than the thought that our lives are dictated by the thoughts of others...we can overcome this.
What happens with a "cult" or organization that makes us believe one way, despite rationale, we tend to lose ourselves in the process.
DON'T LET THEM DO THIS TO YOU!!!!!

Does Looks Really Matter?

would you go out with someone who was not physically attractive if he/she had a big heart on the inside, a great personality, lot's of things in common with, etc...i guess i'm asking what's more important to you the person on the exterior or who he/she really is underneath?.

In all the things that I have seen and heard from a lot of religions is that;
I DO NOT WANT TO GO TO HELL,
I DO NOT WANT TO GO TO HEAVEN.......
what I want is to just die and never know what was/could have been. Anything other than that, to me, is cruelty.JW's say: "Religions of Christendom is wrong for stating you will go to Hell for not following God" or that they are wrong for stating you will not go to Heaven.
Yet, the JW's state, "there is no Hell" but have no qualms about saying "If you do not do what God wants......you will not live forever in a Paradise Earth"
What the f*** is the difference? Semantics. Pure and simple.....it is semantics.
Jw's nit pic upon many things such as this that I am sure that God would not give a s*** fit about.

Love amongst the "brothers"

i am well aware of some of the things that have been done in the congregation for members and i believe real love was shown.
in times of natural disaster jws have been very good at caring for their own.

LB, you are so right! They will think that we are in the last moments. But I was reading something by them the other day that explained that FIRST Christendom would be attacked and then God's true Religion would. Now what I find interesting about this is from what I can see they seemed to, in their words, being attacked by Apostates AT THE SAME TIME that so called Christendom is being attacked. How can they get around that timing? I'm sure they will in their round robin way. But what they are totally ignoring is that they too are part and parcel of Christendom. They spit out that word almost with as much vehemence as they do the word Apostate. But according to the Dictionary all that claim to be Christian are part of Christendom. I can't wait to see Dateline and the fallout.

This post reminded me of a situation in my own family. In reality it is not at all alike but maybe a bit similar? What confuses me is how it is a conscience matter for a Dub to administer blood as a Dr or a nurse. My mother who is an RN, has administered blood to many patients yet she is a diehard J-Dub and would die if given a choice of taking blood or ok'ing it for anyone in her family. I know at one time that in itself was not allowed. Why the change now? Was it a prelude to their new light on what is NOW acceptable? These people confuse the heck out of me.
