Yes. I found out that Amazing was one of my father's friends years ago - and I have since met another poster from this board and his wife - they are great people!

My Brother Died Today

i consider all who post here as my family.we have all been hurt in some way.my brother died today.. blueblades,who has six sisters left.mom,dad,one sister and two brothers died.i'm the only man in the family now.

" that was "placed" with me last week.. it is set up to be studied with a householder in short sessions - each lesson is only about 6-7 paragraphs.
the first three are quite simple - general statements with a supporting scripture.

True - likewise, there is a strong possibility that you can not prove the alternative.

Are you aware of other influences of mind control In your life today?
There are all types of influences/mind control in everyone's life. Are you patriotic? If so, it is most likely because you were told from the time you were small that the country you live in is the Right one.
Do you like to eat live bugs? Probably not - because you have been conditioned to think that they are disgusting - whereas other cultures view them a delicacy.
Mind control is inevitable in any society - it's important, however, to recognize it and to be aware of it's existence so it does not take control of your life in a negative way.

need to worship?
by franklin J inas a former jehovahs witness, one who was raised in the faith, and eventually became a pioneer and ms; i left 20 years ago and at this juncture in my do not feel the need to join any other religion.
it is not that i still believe any of the jw teachings, i just do not believe any organized religion, not christianity, judaism or muslim.
i feel that i am a deeply spiritual person; agnostic, but because of my "jw adventure" , i not longer feel the need to worship.. i am curious to know how the rest of you feel after leaving that faith...is there still a need to worship, or has that feeling also passed with you?.

I don't feel required to worship - if by worship you mean attending church. But I do attend a non-denominational church now regularly because I enjoy it. But if I feel like sleeping in......I DO!

If so, you need to keep learning about Jehovah and obeying his requirements. Attending meetings at the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses will help you to do so"

It is set up to be studied with a householder in short sessions - each Lesson is only about 6-7 paragraphs. The first three are quite simple - general statements with a supporting scripture. Now we come to lesson 4. This is the third visit the JW's have made to your home and by now you have most likely told some family or friends who have said "whoooa hold up.....". So let's look at paragraph 7 of Lesson 4:
"Satan may use persecution or opposition to get you to leave Jehovah. Some of your loved ones may become very angry because you are studying the Bible. Others may make fun of you. But to whom do you owe your life? Satan wants to frighten you so that you will stop learning about Jehovah. Do not let Satan Win. By resisting the Devil, you can make Jehovah happy and show that you uphold His sovereignty."
So........to stop meeting with the JW's is equal to leaving Jehovah?! Hmmmm....and the only way I can gain life is by continuing my bible study with the JW's?........boy - I better book these bible study appointments in my palm pilot right now so I don't forget any of them!!!

Ask them why they added to the requirement of faith in Jesus, membership in their religion in order to get salvation

It's easy to tell them out in service - they're the ones without the namtags and the bicycles
But it's always a bit harder to spot them when they're at the bar.....
