After Palin recently called Nancy Pelosi "a dingbat" (re: the health care reform bill), a commenter made this post:

Nancy Pelosi has the balls to complete 25 years of service in the House of Representatives and never backed down no matter now much vile shit was thrown at her.

Little Caribou Barbie couldn't even complete one term as governor of a state with a smaller population than Nancy's Congressional District.

Kinda says it all.

BTW - Palin used to be a very attractive woman, but lately she has taken on a very sour, bitter, hard-edged look. Anyone else notice this? Portrait of Dorian Gray?

Palin provided the impetus for many Americans to become actively involved in the OBama campaign. She was the best "get out the vote" strategy that the Dems had.

The day after Palin was announced as VP pick, I sent in my very first campaign donation - to Obama/Biden. I also ordered a banner for my balcony.

Really? I don't think my city councilman has the power to take us into a protracted, bogus war, killing and wounding thousands of people.

He may be an ornery cuss, but I do believe he draws the line at invading a sovereign nation.

I read the book and saw the movie. I think it was a fairly accurate portrayal of her based on what facts we do know. We have no shortage of direct quotes from her which paint a picture of her personality. She appears to be highly narcissistic, vindictive, petty, paranoid and not very knowledgeable or articulate.

She is a Christian evangelical, believing that God is directing her personally. Her loyalties seem to be very changeable. She is a grifter at heart - looking out for her bottom-line regardless of principles. We have yet to discover what she won't do for a buck.

That represents my view, but there are 10-15% of the American public who think she's swell.

i believe there is growing unrest amongst jws.

they may not be very cohesive or organized, but the rigorous demands for obedience coming from the leadership and the unbending, never ending list of rules, not to mention the end that has been ever so-close for so long yet never climaxes, has a lot of jws frustrated.. don't get me wrong.

i know there are some jws that will hang in there no matter what they're told to do and will obey without question.

I would never discourage anyone who detects cracks in the edifice of the WTS. I think that that hopeful attitude is a breath of fresh air and will ultimately prevail - just maybe further down the road than we would wish. It isn't a matter of if, but when. The generation that sees that within their grasp is the generation that will probably make it happen.

It is oh so easy to be cynical - in fact nothing could be easier - but I am pinning my hopes on those who envision sooner rather than later.

word on the street is though katie holmes knew cruise is deep into scientology, she now has a better understading of this cult and wants to protect their child from the cult.

i guess tom and scientology has turned his and nicole kidman's kids against kidman.

now that suri is coming of age, holms does not want suri to become a scientologiest and is afraid this same outcome will befall her if she doesn't get full custody of suri .. the interesting thing is holmes is going to have to prove scientology is dangerous to her child and new york is not a joint custody/friendly state.
