To be honest, having a child with her doesn't seem a very sensible idea (not that i agree with abortions btw). If she is pregnant and choosing to abort the child then that is not his fault. You cannot blackmail someone into marriage, using his emotions and feelings is downright evil.

This is not necessarily about just worshipping Jesus though is it? The Watchtower Society downplay his role by focusing on their own importance.

For example how do you get saved as a Jehovah's Witness? By showing complete obedience to his Earthly representative the Watchtower Society until Jesus actually begins to rule over Earth. As long as Jesus is 'otherwise engaged' the Society are free to do as they like, going as far as to say that Jesus examined each religion and chose them.

Thing is, if they work along the lines of Jesus is 'less' than God, and that he chose the Organization as his earthly representative then they are basically the new jesus, something for people to see and follow on earth. This then gives them the power to do as they please.

i think i posted on here that i went to the memorial last week.

my wife's dad has been a jw for over 50 years and has never missed a memorial before.

he has been getting sicker and sicker and his wife the star pioneer still does nothing for him.

When i went to Last years memorial, i almost felt like crying. Seeing them pass around something that biblically they are supposed to eat/drink to have the reward, they cant even get that bit right. It felt meaningless, depressing and to be honest it didnt feel like a celebration at all.

What to do when your parents are toxic?

from reading people's stories and life experiences i thought i'd poll the members here for some advice.

my inlaws are extremely toxic.

i know, every person says that about their inlaws, but the way they treat their family is absolutely horrible.

Your right, your inlaws aren't that nice.

My Wife's family have totally dropped her now since she reported a relative for abuse, her grandmother and mother both told her they wanted nothing to do with her and her sister claims she is staying neutral despite her knowing what went on due to personal experience.

Seeing how it pulls Megan apart is really soul destroying sometimes, so now that her mother has started speaking to her occasionally i've insisted megan has nothing to do with her because each time this relative that abused my wife comes over, she drops megan again and to be honest she only got into contact when she heard megan was pregnant again, asking if she could look after our son and have involvement with the twins when they come...over my dead body. I told megan if she really wants a so called relationship with her parent that is up to her but any children of mine are not going near her or her family because they are twisted. I've heard her mum say hurtful things to Megan, such as 'your making the abuse up so i'll love such and such a body less' and things like that and believe me there is worse, its not just denial its just downright evil.

Tell your wife to stand up for herself, she obviously has low self esteem and needs to learn that if her parents wont accept her as she is, an honest and hardworking mother then they should basically stay away from her. No one should have to run around after their parents just to keep the peace.

Worldly Mannerisms That Dubs Avoids

i know some mannerisms to avoid such as when someone sneezes, dubs don't say, "bless you" or "god bless you" for sacrilious reasons.. so the question is, what worldly mannerisms do dubs avoid?.

There is new reasoning on the Glass clinking thing, apparently fragile glasses will break and fragments/shards of glass can get into your eyes.
