your not much younger than me, so i wont treat you like a kid, but i'll tell you something that helped me. if there is, a loving God that wants the best for you and me, in his own time he will reveal himself to you, until then there is NO sin in you exploring your own thoughts on the matter. its important! if you continue to deny yourself the chance to evaluate things, to truly accept what your gut instinct tells you, then you'll live to regret it. but before all that, before you worry yourself into an early grave, enjoy the next few years at least and forget about it. the decision will wait.

43im an atheist and i like the idea of being an athiest but its kinda hard
by Lotus65 inim an atheist and i like the idea that comes with freedom of though and analytical thinking that follows being atheistic vs having a religion im just kinda in a jam because i need to try and find something to completely lose the thoughts in the back of my head that say what if im wrong and i "suffer" because of it.
i feel that if i can find something to destroy these thoughts i can be alot more comfortable with my views and opinions.
anyone have any thoughts on what i should do.

Remember; Society represents and works for God on earth, meaning whatever they do is as legit as the bible, so when a magazine or book says report time, jehovah likes it..thats as good as the Bible doing it to the Witnesses...

If turning in time was truly a voluntary option it wouldnt be so 'cult like' wasanelder...but thinkin about it, i remember our scary, scottish Cong. Servant making sure those reports got turned in...i used to wee myself haha (no i didnt really) Its like carrying the blood card, it isnt a mandate but without one you get some funny looks and you get pulled over.

or Religion is a Snare, and a Racket lol, not too out there and possible, we shouldnt discount anything but we should really think carefully what the protest will say, it may be personal to each individual, it may be a united message that shows there are more ex-witnesses than the Society cares to admit, different ages, different personality's but also all real people who suffered.

Glad to hear it, we need to think of something that speaks volumes without them thinking were all nutters with a grudge...very difficult but something noticeable which the Society couldnt ignore or hide...it'd take dedication and all our commitment. (those in a position to do so, i am not stupid or ignorant and i realize some folks simply cant do anything because they wish to fade or have family)
