I had a faithful husband. 20+ years in a less than stellar relationship, but he did not cheat. My "new" man I truly believe would not cheat. I think it says something about the relationship, I really do. I know those who will say that is not it, but from my perspective of those I know who have, there is something wrong. I happen to believe it's got to do with self confidence. If you don't have it, you look anywhere you can to prove that you are worth something. Until that is fixed, you can never be truly faithful.
Or maybe I'm just one awesome woman.............................

Pumpkins in the Kingdom Hall yard....now Christmas lights...you can too
by oompa ini have been a pretty serious practical joker my whole life....some say i am stuck in adolescence (i hope she is 17).
but anyway, right before halloween i took a couple of pumpkins too close to the road at a farmers place and put them in the kingdom hall front yard....i know i should have paid for them but no one was there.
it was sunday night, and was hoping maybe no one would notice till thursday meeting, but they were gone on wednesday.

I think I would have loved it as a kid, coming to the hall with something interesting happening.
I don't care for their house of worship one whit. They have taken it upon themselves to decide that my entire family cannot speak to me. They have taken it upon themselves to shelter pedophiles. That building is no more sacred than the local wal-mart. Maybe less so considering you can't buy milk or tampons there.
Beyond that, they love persecution, so would most likely look at it as proof that they are on the right track. Little would they know the kick a bunch of Xdubs were getting out of it.

Why have things changed?
by nvrgnbk inaccording to the old testament, yahweh/jehovah regularly and violently made himself manifest.. according to the new testament, there were miraculous works performed to prove that the messiah was who he said he was and that his followers were authentic.. why are there no such public manifestations of jehovah/yahweh/jesus/holy spirit today?
i say public because some individuals describe very personal experiences detailing some sort of miracle or divine intervention in their lives, most often at a low or desperate point.
i have no interest in discounting such personal experiences.

Oh Oompa! Who cares what's after death? Why in the world would we want to waste the time we have worrying about that? Personally I have for years believed that death is just the end of a long day. Good sleep.

by oompa inyep that's right and it was cash....and i took him to dinner too....what a blast.
my son has been a real pain in the @ss for years, but i love him to death and know that tons of his problems were jw related.
i am a recent fade remember and was a little worried dubs would be at the place when the wait staff sang happy birthday and all.

Does anyone remember that picture of the scarlet-colored beast WITH crowns?
by AlmostAtheist ini got my history a little mixed up in a post earlier tonight, trying to recall an error in a watchtower picture a few years ago.
the picture was of the scarlet-colored wild beast, but it had crowns.
the bible says this beast doesn't have crowns, it's the other one that has the crowns.

I may not be remembering correctly because that is the publication my parents (bless their hearts, they meant well) used to terrorize me with when I was in kindergarten--a long time ago.
Ohhhh hmmmmmmm yeaaahhhhh, that was one of my "favorites". I remember that being more La la la, animals and people living together happily. But I think it was definitely around the same time. Speaking of which, why didn't they separate the young children from the heavier discussions?????????
